Area Sales Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager to promote and sell our Electric Vehicle (EV) Commercial Vehicle and Passenger Auto solutions to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with customers, and driving sales growth. Ability to handle multi-state (Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana State)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership & Management
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Dealer Finance Sales Executives (DFSEs).
Set clear performance targets for the team and track progress through regular reviews and field visits.
Provide on-the-job training, guidance, and motivation to improve productivity and team capability.
2. Dealer Relationship & Network Development
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing dealers and onboard new dealerships in untapped territories.
Drive dealer engagement initiatives to improve finance penetration and sales conversion.
Resolve dealer issues promptly related to finance approvals, documentation, or service support.
3. Finance Tie-ups & Coordination
Establish and manage relationships with NBFCs, banks, and other financial institutions to secure competitive finance schemes for dealers and end customers.
Monitor turnaround times (TAT) and approval rates, and ensure efficient processing of loan files through coordination between DFSEs and financiers.
Drive co-branded or special finance schemes in collaboration with finance partners to improve market competitiveness.
4. Sales Planning & Execution
Create and execute area-level sales strategies aligned with overall business goals.
Monitor and drive monthly sales, finance penetration, and revenue targets through data-driven insights and team performance.
Analyze market demand, segment growth, and competitor finance offers to refine go-to-market strategies.
5. Customer & Channel Experience
Ensure a smooth financing experience for dealers and retail customers, enhancing satisfaction and repeat business.
Monitor complaints or escalation points and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them promptly.
6. Compliance & Documentation Oversight
Ensure the team adheres to company policies, financial regulations, and proper documentation practices.
Conduct regular audits of loan files and dealership processes to avoid non-compliance.
7. Reporting & Analytics
Provide regular business updates to senior management including sales MIS, dealer finance penetration, TAT, and team productivity.
Use data analytics to identify gaps, forecast trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent knowledge of dealer financing and NBFC/bank products
Effective leadership and team management abilities.
Comprehensive understanding of dealer financing and Non-Banking Financial Company/bank offerings.
Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in the automotive or EV industry.
Strong knowledge of the EV industry, including market trends and competitor activity.
Experience in 3 wheeler electric vehicles industry.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
