About Goose

Goose is building the operating system for multi-service pet care businesses — boarding, daycare, grooming, and training. Our platform streamlines operations, enhances the customer experience, and drives revenue growth. Headquartered in Chicago, we blend modern technology with industry know-how to serve an essential but historically underserved market.

About the role

This role sits at the heart of the Goose product — the platform our customers run their businesses on every day. It's where we have our largest engineering team and our highest-impact roadmap, which means product capacity is the rate limit on what we can ship. You'll work alongside one of our strongest senior PMs, partnering closely with engineering on the most retention-critical features at the company. This is a full cycle product role — customer discovery, requirements, shipping — with structured mentorship from someone already excellent at the craft. You'll learn the fundamentals of product development on the surface that matters most to Goose's customers.

What you'll do

  • Partner with a senior PM on the central Goose platform to ship features against a focused, high-impact roadmap
  • Work directly with customers and the Customer Success team to understand how Goose is used and where it falls short
  • Develop deep working knowledge of the Goose data model and how the platform's features sit on top of it
  • Translate customer and business needs into clear product requirements engineering can execute against
  • Take ownership of smaller workstreams end-to-end as you ramp, with the goal of growing into a defined product area
  • Contribute to discovery, user research, and the prioritization work that shapes what we ship next

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years of product management experience
  • A technical mind — comfortable reasoning about data schemas, integrations, and the relationships between data entities
  • Strong data orientation — you reach for data to support decisions and feel uncomfortable when you can't
  • Experience working closely with engineers — must-have, not nice-to-have
  • Curiosity, especially about how customers actually use the product
  • Comfort with customer exposure — you'll be in front of users early and often
  • Lives in the details - you notice when something is off in a flow and aren't satisfied until it’s addressed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Bonus points

  • SaaS, vertical SaaS, or multi-location operations business background
  • Pet services experience
  • Background in engineering, solutions engineering, or technical roles before PM

What we offer

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: 85% coverage for employees, 60% for dependents
  • Unlimited PTO (vacation, sick, personal, plus 5 company holidays)
  • Direct mentorship from one of our strongest PMs on the highest-leverage product surface at the company
  • Plenty of opportunity to grow with the company
