About Goose

Goose is building the operating system for multi-service pet care businesses — boarding, daycare, grooming, and training. Our platform streamlines operations, enhances the customer experience, and drives revenue growth. Headquartered in Chicago, we blend modern technology with industry know-how to serve an essential but historically underserved market.

In February 2025, we raised a $13.4M seed round from B Capital, First Round Capital, The 81 Collection, Imaginary Ventures, and BoxGroup. We're growing quickly and looking for a Business Analyst to help our customers get the data they need out of Goose.

What you'll do

  • Work directly with customers — operators, owners, and their accountants — to understand the reporting questions they're trying to answer
  • Translate those questions into clear requirements by combining customer needs with a deep understanding of the Goose data model
  • Build dashboards and visualizations in Omni that answer those questions in a way customers can actually use day-to-day
  • Write SQL to explore the data, validate your work, and back up your visualizations
  • Partner closely with the product teams that own the schema and data layer to surface gaps, inconsistencies, or new instrumentation needs
  • Maintain and iterate on existing customer-facing reports as the data model and Goose's product evolve

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years in a business analyst, data analyst, or analytics-adjacent role
  • Strong SQL — you can write joins, window functions, and aggregations
  • Experience building dashboards in a modern BI tool
  • Comfort talking to non-technical stakeholders — including customers — and translating their questions into analyses
  • A track record of learning a product's data model deeply enough to know what's measurable and what isn't
  • Strong attention to detail and the instinct to double-check your numbers before they go out

Bonus points

  • Experience with Omni specifically
  • Background in vertical SaaS, pet services, or other multi-location operations businesses
  • Exposure to embedded payments data or operational/billing systems

What we offer

  • Competitive salary & meaningful equity
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: 85% coverage for employees, 60% coverage for dependents
  • Unlimited PTO (vacation, sick, personal, plus 5 company holidays)
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment
