About the Role

We’re looking for a Sr Software Engineer who will align with our own passion for delivering an innovative, world-class product that makes our customers successful and gives them joy along the way. The ideal candidate has an eye for high quality code, best practices & industry standards, and takes pride/ownership of whatever feature, product or codebase they’re working on. In this position the candidate will work closely with the VP of Engineering, Product Managers, and stakeholders to execute on the product roadmap in effort to address business and customer needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend software systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance and ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Architect and implement robust, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Analyze and optimize software systems to maximize performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and design principles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, to ensure project success.
  • Define best in class standards to aid in guiding microservices based architectural decisions.
  • Unit testing and experience with automated testing is a plus.

Requirements

What You Will Need

  • 7+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend technologies.
  • Expertise in Javascript, TypeScript and / or any other strongly typed language.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture and design principles utilizing cloud native technologies.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and etc.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams of engineers on large-scale projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).
