Job Description

Deputy Vice President - Unit Head - Client Acquisition - SME & Commercial Lending

Location: Dubai, UAE

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Sales Head for our Client Acquisition Team, specializing in SME & Commercial Lending products across Unsecured Business Loans, Merchant POS Loans, Financing against Rent Generating Properties, Asset backed Loans, Working Capital, Trade and Supply Chain Finance products. This role is pivotal in expanding our client base and driving growth in our Loans and SCF segments. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and client acquisition, with a strong understanding of financial products and the ability to lead a team to achieve ambitious sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Acquisition & Sales Strategy:

  1. Develop and implement effective client acquisition strategies for SME and Commercial Lending products.

  2. Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including direct outreach, partnerships, and networking.

  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, agents, and business owners.

Team Leadership & Management:

  1. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of client acquisition executives to achieve sales targets and business objectives.

  2. Provide coaching, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.

  3. Set clear performance goals and monitor progress through regular performance reviews and feedback.

Market Analysis & Insights:

  1. Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics in the business loan and mortgage sectors.

  2. Utilize insights to refine acquisition strategies and improve targeting and messaging.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management:

  1. Oversee the client onboarding process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for new clients.

  2. Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction and retention.

Reporting & Performance Metrics:

  1. Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to client acquisition, conversion rates, and sales performance.

  2. Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives to senior management.

Compliance & Risk Management:

  1. Ensure that all client acquisition activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies.

  2. Implement best practices for risk management and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  1. 15+ years of experience in client acquisition, sales, or business development within the financial services industry, with a focus on SME and Commercial lending products.

  2. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.

  3. Previous experience in a leadership role managing a sales or client acquisition team is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SME and Commercial Banking financing products offered in the market across Unsecured Business Loans, Merchant POS loans, Asset backed Loans, Financing against Income Generating Property, CAPEX Loans, Working Capital, Trade and Supply Chain finance.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.

  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to drive decision-making and strategy.

Education:

Masters/Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, MBA (Finance) and relevant certifications are a plus.

Location:

Based in Dubai, UAE, with regular business travel as needed.
