This role is pivotal in crafting and delivering unparalleled customer experiences for core components such as Customer Profiles, Segmentation and Audiences. As the visual architect behind Yalo's personalization engine, you will bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role in defining how the application looks and works.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize data-intensive user interfaces that power Yalo's core components.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Work alongside backend engineers to ensure seamless integration with data microservices.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
- Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and advocate for their adoption where relevant.
- Mentor junior frontend engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across various devices and browsers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of frontend development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and ReactJS is essential.
- Deep understanding of modern web development practices and frameworks.
- Experience with data visualization libraries or tools is a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with frontend build tools, such as Webpack, Babel, and NPM.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in UI/UX and design principles.
- Ability to write clean, readable, and easily maintainable code.
Nice to have:
- Experience creating reusable and composable UI component libraries
- Knowledge on data visualization libraries and components (like Nivo)
- Experience with other frontend frameworks or libraries.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a notable presence in the developer community.
- Knowledge of server-side processes or languages, enhancing collaboration with backend teams.
