The Role
We're seeking a Coaching Content Specialist to help Valence shape the future of digital coaching through our first-to-market AI leadership coach technology. You'll be a driving force behind our mission to deliver exceptional coaching solutions that transform how some of the world's biggest companies learn and lead.
As our Coaching Content Specialist, you'll blend your deep understanding of effective coaching with cutting-edge digital technology to create truly innovative learning experiences. Your expertise will be the cornerstone of our digital coaching product, ensuring that every aspect is grounded in best practices and delivers unparalleled value to our users. What You'll Do

  • Best Practices Integration:
  • Provide expert insights and best practices in work coaching to enhance our digital coaching product.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure coaching methodologies are effectively implemented.
  • Evaluation and Data Tagging:
  • Evaluate coaching conversations and digital coaching solutions at both a high level and granular level.
  • Perform detailed data tagging to ensure quality and accuracy of coaching interactions.
  • Conversation Design and Flow Creation:
  • Develop new conversation designs and coaching flows, incorporating crucial content and methodologies for specific conversation topics.
  • Ensure that conversation designs align with coaching best practices and product goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • 4+ years of professional experience in a high performing work environment, ideally a top tier consulting firm.
  • Proven, formalized expertise coaching within a work environment; a deep understanding of coaching methodologies and best practices.
  • A systemic mindset to think in analytical ways about coaching (e.g., under what conditions do you offer what advice or questions, what is the meta process or methodology you follow for different situations).
  • Openness with, and curiosity for, different coaching methodologies that go beyond traditional approaches (i.e digital coaching).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to embrace challenges, experiment and continuously learn through high-quality feedback and new work streams.
  • Clear motivations for wanting to join a Series A startup focused on generative AI, LLMs and ML and also the topic of Learning and Development, Teams.
  • Please kindly note that this is not an entry level position.

Location and Work Environment
We are open to candidates in NYC, Toronto or London (UK) working in a hybrid role. We have offices. Candidates must be comfortable working with colleagues in different time zones (ET and PT) and have valid travel documents without work authorization restrictions in the US.
