The Role
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Neurologist with fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology to join our team on a 1099/independent contractor basis. This is a part-time role (5–10 hours per week) focused on delivering high-quality virtual care to patients with ALS, PLS, and other neuromuscular conditions.
This role is ideal for a physician looking to supplement their current practice with flexible, mission-driven telehealth work while supporting a diverse patient population. Spanish language proficiency is required
Job Duties
Deliver virtual, longitudinal care to patients with neuromuscular diseases, including ALS and PLS
Conduct detailed clinical evaluations and guide diagnostic and treatment planning
Interpret EMG/NCS studies where applicable through partner facilities
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team (genetic counselors, behavioral health, palliative care, care coordinators)
Provide education and support to patients and caregivers navigating complex neurodegenerative conditions
Participate in case discussions with peer neurologists to ensure high-quality, consistent care
Contribute insights to clinical protocols and care model development
Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology
Fellowship training in Neuromuscular Medicine or Clinical Neurophysiology
Experience treating ALS, PLS, and a range of neuromuscular disorders
Proficiency in EMG/NCS interpretation
Comfortable delivering care via telehealth and working in a remote, collaborative environment
Licensed (or willing to obtain licensure) in multiple states
Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
Passion for improving access and outcomes for patients with neurodegenerative diseases
Experience in multidisciplinary or academic care settings
Participation in ALS clinics or clinical trials
Experience working within innovative or value-based care models
