About Synapticure
As a patient and caregiver-founded company, Synapticure provides instant access to expert neurologists, cutting-edge treatments and trials, and wraparound care coordination and behavioral health support in all 50 states through a virtual care platform. Partnering with providers and health plans, including CMS' new GUIDE dementia care model, Synapticure is dedicated to transforming the lives of millions of individuals and their families living with neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and ALS.
Our Product team powers the essential technology that enables specialized services, drives operational efficiency, and ensures our clinicians can deliver high-quality, continuous care to patients with complex needs.
The Role
Synapticure is seeking a Sr. Director of Product to lead the strategy, execution, and delivery of our core technology platform. This role uniquely combines Product Management and Technical Program Management responsibilities—a hands-on, hybrid “player/coach” position designed for a product leader who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup.
Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be the single point of accountability for our internal-facing product ecosystem, ensuring that Synapticure’s clinicians, care coordinators, and operations teams have the technology needed to provide exceptional neurodegenerative care. You will drive strategic planning, define the technical roadmap, manage execution from ideation through launch, and collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, clinical, operations, and leadership teams.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical fluency with deep experience managing the product lifecycle for complex internal systems—ideally EMR workflows, care coordination tools, or other healthcare delivery platforms. This role requires a strategic thinker who can operate with precision in ambiguity, balance technical debt with business priorities, and execute rapidly in a growing Series-A healthcare startup environment.

Job Duties – What you’ll be doing

  • Define and own the internal product strategy and roadmap for Synapticure’s core platform, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and user needs
  • Translate clinician, care coordinator, and operations team needs into well-defined user stories, technical requirements, and actionable priorities
  • Lead the full product lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through launch and continuous improvement
  • Partner with engineering to drive daily sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical decision-making
  • Manage complex technical initiatives, including EMR integrations, data workflows, and platform infrastructure improvements
  • Establish and maintain robust project governance, including resource allocation, risk management, and milestone tracking
  • Coordinate across engineering, operations, and leadership to ensure alignment and accountability for deliverables
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of product decisions, technical specifications, and project progress
  • Use data and performance metrics to drive decision-making, measure product success, and ensure quality standards
  • Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and operational excellence

Requirements – What we look for in you

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Program Management, or a similar leadership role in healthcare or healthtech
  • Hands-on experience managing EMRs, integrating external systems, or supporting internal clinical workflow tools
  • Proven ability to act as a “player/coach” — executing product and project work directly while setting long-term product strategy
  • Track record of managing the lifecycle for complex internal-facing platforms supporting operational or clinical workflows
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive decisions and prioritize product initiatives
  • Demonstrated success in balancing technical, operational, and user experience priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Technical fluency with the ability to participate in architecture discussions and evaluate trade-offs with engineering teams
  • Experience in healthcare, telehealth, or technology-driven service delivery preferred

We’re founded by a patient and caregiver, and we’re a remote-first company. This means our values are at the heart of everything we do, and while we’re located all across the country, these principles are what tie us together around a common identity:

  • Relentless focus on patients and caregivers. We are determined to provide an exceptional experience for every patient we have the privilege to serve, and we put our patients first in everything we do.
  • Embody the spirit and humanity of those living with neurodegenerative disease. Inspired by our founders, families, and personal experiences, we recognize the seriousness of our patients’ circumstances and meet that challenge every day with empathy, compassion, kindness, and hope.
  • Seek to understand, and stay curious. We start by listening to one another, our partners, our patients, and their caregivers. We communicate with authenticity and humility, prioritizing honesty and directness while recognizing we always have something to learn.
  • Embrace the opportunity. We are energized by the importance of our mission and bias toward action.
