We are seeking a highly analytical Business Intelligence Analyst with a strong focus on labor planning and operational workforce analytics to serve as the strategic data partner for our Supply Chain & Fulfillment organization.

In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex operational data sets and executive decision-making, specifically driving insights into workforce productivity, scheduling efficiency, and labor cost optimization. You will own the end-to-end analytics lifecycle—from ingesting warehouse, transportation, inventory, and order data to building sophisticated analytics that optimize labor deployment, service levels, throughput, and margin.
This is not just a reporting role; you will help build the “Control Tower” that enables real-time visibility, performance optimization, and data-driven decision-making across our fulfillment network, with a particular emphasis on labor management and planning.

What You’ll Do:

Labor Planning & Workforce Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain labor models to forecast staffing needs, optimize schedules, and balance workload across warehouses and fulfillment centers.

  • Analyze labor productivity, capacity utilization, overtime, and staffing costs to identify gaps and drive efficiency improvements.

  • Partner with operations and HR to implement workforce optimization strategies that align labor capacity with business demand.

Control Tower Development:

  • Design and build the supply chain analytics framework, developing KPIs and dashboards that provide visibility into labor productivity, fulfillment performance, inventory health, transportation efficiency, and customer experience.

Operational Performance & Cost Optimization:

  • Develop automated auditing and monitoring tools to identify labor cost inefficiencies, margin leakage, productivity gaps, and service risks across warehousing, transportation, and inventory operations.

Inventory & Network Analytics:

  • Analyze inventory flow, demand patterns, capacity utilization, and network performance to improve service levels, reduce carrying costs, and increase throughput, including the impact on labor requirements.

Data Integrity & Systems Strategy:

  • Partner with technology and operations teams to define labor-related data requirements, improve system integrations, and build a scalable analytics roadmap across WMS, TMS, OMS, ERP, and workforce management systems.

Advanced Analytics & Decision Support:

  • Apply predictive modeling, regression analysis, segmentation, and forecasting techniques to optimize labor planning, identify performance drivers, and inform operational strategy.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, or related discipline).

  • 8+ years of experience leading analytics projects with a focus on labor planning, workforce optimization, or operational efficiency, preferably in retail, ecommerce, or supply chain environments.

  • Experience leveraging AI tools or analytical frameworks to develop decision-support solutions for workforce or operational planning.

  • Strong SQL expertise, with the ability to build datasets and perform complex queries across multiple systems.

  • Hands-on experience with R, Python, or similar programming languages for building scalable data models and analytics solutions.

  • Experience structuring, cleaning, and visualizing data from WMS, TMS, OMS, ERP, or workforce management systems.

  • Experience applying advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, regression analysis, forecasting, and trend segmentation, specifically for labor or operational planning.

  • Strong understanding of supply chain, fulfillment, and labor management concepts, including inventory management, capacity planning, workforce scheduling, service level metrics, and cost-to-serve analysis.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership and writing formal reports or white papers.

  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and advanced Excel.

Bonus Points:

  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Analytics, Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field).

  • Experience with workforce management systems (WFM/WMS integration) or labor optimization software.
