The Training Coordinator leads training strategy and execution across a defined cluster of Fulfillment Centers (FCs). This role owns new-hire, cross-training, and upskilling programs for FTEs and temporary associates in receiving, picking, packing, shipping dock, inventory control, problem solve, and WMS workflows. You’ll standardize SOPs/curricula, coordinate tools and vendors, and deliver measurable results in speed-to-productivity, quality, safety, and retention—primarily through influence and cross-functional coordination with site Training Ambassadors/Learning Leads

A “let’s get it done” mindset with strong planning and stakeholder skills is essential.

What You’ll Do

Program ownership & strategy

  • Build and execute the area training roadmap (new-hire, cross-training, refreshers, certifications) aligned to volume forecasts, seasonal surges, and launches.

  • Standardize curricula, SOPs, and training aids across sites to ensure consistent methods and outcomes.

  • Define training KPIs (e.g., TTFP, error rate, rework, safety incidents, graduation rate, trainer utilization) and drive continuous improvement.

Stakeholder & matrix leadership (no direct reports)

  • Partner with site Training Ambassadors/Learning Leads to schedule classes, align on methods, and ensure consistent delivery.

  • Provide coaching, toolkits, and best practices to Ambassadors and supervisors; facilitate communities of practice.

  • Coordinate with Ops, HR/Staffing, Safety/EHS, and Site Leaders to size cohorts, confirm capacity, and sequence training.

Delivery & operations

  • Oversee end-to-end training delivery for core warehouse workflows; run train-the-trainer sessions.

  • Ensure WMS/systems access provisioning (Logiwa, S1W, handhelds) and training environments are set up and audited.

  • Observe/evaluate trainees and classes; recommend remedial plans and certification criteria.

Quality, safety & compliance

  • Embed safety policies into all curricula; partner with EHS on certifications, audits, and corrective actions.

  • Conduct post-training quality checks and Gemba walks to validate skill transfer.

  • Maintain accurate records for compliance and audit readiness (attendance, hours, skills, certifications).

Tooling, content, and vendors

  • Maintain/improve content (SOPs, demos, visuals) with version control and translations as needed.

  • Coordinate LMS scheduling/tracking and manage external training vendors or temp-agency enablement where applicable.

Reporting & communication

  • Publish weekly dashboards and month-end reports on training throughput, outcomes, and ROI; present insights to Ops Leadership.

  • Identify site/shift skill gaps and propose targeted interventions with quantified impact.

What You’ll Need

  • 4+ years in warehouse/fulfillment operations, including 2+ years leading training programs or frontline teams through influence/matrix environments (multi-site preferred).

  • Deep knowledge of warehouse processes, safety, and equipment; hands-on with handheld scanners/MHE.

  • Strong WMS experience (e.g., Logiwa, S1W; exposure to Invia/Signal a plus).

  • Proven ability to standardize methods, run train-the-trainer, and uplift capability without direct authority.

  • Data fluency for KPI tracking and decision-making; experience building dashboards/reporting.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication; can align and influence Ops, HR, Safety, and Staffing stakeholders.

  • High integrity and confidentiality; comfort with fast-changing environments and flexing to nights/weekends during peak.

Bonus Points

  • Prior training program ownership; SOP writing/editing; visual/interactive training aids.

  • Bilingual Spanish.

  • Experience with multiple WMS and/or LMS administration.

  • Kaizen/Lean facilitation (5S, TWI, standard work).
