What You'll Do
- Identify and target potential clients — institutional and retail investors, high-net-worth individuals, and selling-agent partners.
- Read client needs and industry developments, and tailor solutions that actually fit the market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to keep them loyal and bring in additional investments.
- Run client meetings, presentations, and follow-ups to promote the firm's products and services.
- Put strategies in place to grow the client base and increase AUM.
- Know the firm's investment products, services, and performance inside out.
- Clearly communicate the benefits and unique features of what we offer to prospective clients.
- Do thorough market research — trends, competitive landscape, growth opportunities.
- Keep an eye on competitors and strategize to stay ahead.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and product innovations.
- Track and report on business development activity, client interactions, and progress against targets.
- Analyze sales data, prepare performance reports, and present findings to senior management.
- Adjust your approach based on the metrics and market feedback.
- Run due diligence on new and existing clients, keep accurate records, and support the firm's overall compliance framework.
- 3–5 years in investment sales / distribution at an asset management firm — you know how to sell investment products and grow AUM.
- WAPERD certification required — you must hold a valid WAPERD (Wakil Agen Penjual Efek Reksa Dana) certification.
- Strong product knowledge — you can explain funds and investment products clearly and make the case with confidence.
- A real relationship-builder — you win trust and keep clients coming back, not just closing one-off deals.
- Sharp on markets and the competitive landscape — you know the industry and can spot where the opportunities are.
- Comfortable with data and reporting — you can track your pipeline, read the numbers, and present clearly to senior management.
- Solid grasp of compliance and due diligence — you sell hard but always within the rules.
- Driven and target-oriented — you like having a number and beating it.
- Excellent communicator and presenter — confident in a room, clear on paper.
- Proactive and self-driven — you go find the clients, you don't wait for leads to land.
- Organized and reliable — you manage a pipeline and follow-ups without letting anything slip.
- A WMI (Wakil Manajer Investasi) license is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with Sharia investment products is a big plus.
- An existing network of institutional, HNWI, or selling-agent relationships.
- Familiarity with the Indonesian capital markets and the local distribution landscape.
- You already follow, trade, or invest in the markets on your own.
