As a Senior QA Engineer at Stockbit, you will be responsible for driving quality engineering practices across our fintech products and platforms. You will lead test strategy, champion automation initiatives, and work closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery at scale.

Beyond validating features, you will play a key role in improving development processes, expanding test automation coverage, mentoring other QA engineers, and fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive quality assurance strategies, standards, and best practices across multiple product teams.
  • Review and validate requirements, acceptance criteria, and Gherkin specifications to ensure completeness, testability, and quality coverage.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize scalable automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and backend services.
  • Translate business requirements and Gherkin scenarios into robust automated test suites.
  • Establish and continuously improve test automation coverage within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and risk-based testing approaches for new features and product releases.
  • Execute and oversee various testing activities, including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, API, performance, and exploratory testing.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive timely resolutions.
  • Monitor quality metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders regarding product health and release readiness.
  • Lead defect triage discussions and advocate for quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers, providing technical leadership in automation, testing methodologies, and quality engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to ensure quality considerations are incorporated early in the development process.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in engineering processes, tooling, and release management practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including significant experience in test automation.
  • Proven experience leading QA initiatives, projects, or teams in an Agile environment.
  • Strong experience designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Experience testing web, mobile, API, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Xray, TestRail) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to define testing strategies and prioritize quality efforts based on product and business risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for quality engineering, automation, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fintech, trading, investment, banking, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and modern software architectures, including microservices.
  • Knowledge of security testing principles and practices.
  • Understanding of trading, capital markets, investing, or financial products is highly desirable.
