We are looking for an experienced Compliance & AML professional with strong knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem to join our compliance team. This role is responsible for managing and enhancing AML, sanctions, and KYC programs, conducting transaction monitoring and investigations, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations for virtual assets. The role works closely with legal, product, operations, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain AML and KYC policies for crypto products in line with regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct CDD/EDD for high-risk customers, including crypto exchanges, DeFi participants, OTC desks, and high-value accounts.
  • Monitor on-chain and off-chain transactions, investigate alerts, and document findings.
  • Prepare and submit SARs and manage regulator or law enforcement communications.
  • Lead sanctions screening, escalation, and remediation processes.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and operations to improve compliance controls and tooling.
  • Provide AML/CTF and sanctions training to internal teams.
  • Support regulatory exams and audits, including remediation actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CAMS or similar certification is a plus.
  • 3–5 years of AML/compliance experience, preferably in crypto, fintech, or VASPs.
  • Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, sanctions, KYC, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
  • Experience with monitoring, sanctions, and blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM, Elliptic).
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with FATF guidance and relevant local and international regulations.
