Job Summary: A UX Designer is responsible for creating intuitive, user-centered experiences that help customers derive maximum value from the SpecRight platform. They work to understand user needs through research, design seamless workflows across complex enterprise features, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. This role involves balancing user experience best practices with business objectives while supporting Specright's AI-first product strategy and implementation optimization goals.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Design user experiences for Specrights' products, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that simplify complex specification management workflows.
- Conduct user research including interviews, usability testing, and analysis of user behavior data to inform design decisions and validate solutions.
- Partner with product managers and engineers to translate business requirements and customer needs into intuitive user interfaces and interaction patterns.
- Develop and maintain design systems, component libraries, and design documentation that ensure consistency across the platform.
- Design experiences for AI-powered features and agentic solutions, ensuring they feel natural and valuable to users.
- Create user flows, journey maps, and information architecture that help users navigate complex specification data and supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, customer success, and sales to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
- Leverage AI capabilities within design tools (e.g., Figma AI, generative design features) to accelerate design iterations and explore design alternatives efficiently.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay current on UX trends, particularly in enterprise SaaS, AI/ML interfaces, and supply chain/manufacturing applications.
- Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, incorporating feedback while advocating for user needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of UX design experience in B2B/enterprise software environments, preferably SaaS platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process, including research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms, including familiarity with AI-powered features and capabilities within these tools.
- Experience designing for complex data-heavy applications with multiple user roles and workflows.
- Understanding of responsive design principles and designing for web-based enterprise applications.
- Ability to conduct user research and translate findings into actionable design improvements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance design productivity and explore creative solutions.
- Preferred experience designing AI/ML features, conversational interfaces, or intelligent assistants.
- Preferred experience in supply chain, packaging, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Preferred experience with design systems and component library development.
