Brief Overview

We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr Frontend Engineer with strong expertise and growing full-stack capabilities to join our engineering organization. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining key components of Amwell’s Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solution suite. The ideal candidate has a strong background in modern frontend development, experience working within enterprise applications, and an interest in expanding into full-stack development. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver scalable, high-quality healthcare solutions that support critical business workflows.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain frontend components for the RCM solution suite.
  • Build and enhance features across legacy and modern platforms, including Hub Converge modules.
  • Develop user interfaces supporting intake workflows such as insurance, payments, and clinical data.
  • Implement and maintain cost configuration tools, RTE calculations, and administrative features.
  • Contribute to the development of Admin UI tools, including Coupon Administration and related features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization activities.
  • Support integration between frontend systems and backend services.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Angular and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience building scalable frontend applications in enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture concepts.
  • Understanding of full-stack development principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative environments.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
