Backend DeveloperAs a Backend Developer at Shipday, you will play a critical role in building the core infrastructure of our SaaS platform. You will design and build the core services that keep those deliveries fast, reliable, and secure. Your work will directly impact platform performance, developer velocity, and customer experience.
You’ll be collaborating closely with a multi-disciplinary team including engineering, product, and business development to solve complex problems and create data-driven solutions.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of full-time software development experience
- Previous experience as a Backend Developer or similar role
- Proficient in Unix, Java, Python
- Familiar with AWS and microservices
- Familiar with databases (e.g. SQL and NoSQL)
- Familiarity with designing and building APIs (eg, REST API’s)
- Familiarity with Map APIs is a plus (Google Maps etc)
- Experience in writing unit tests
Responsibilities
- Work within our product teams to design and develop our core backend that support multiple applications
- Improve our code base through continuous refactoring
- Solve challenging real-time data transfer and synchronization problems
- Implement unit tests
