Business Systems Analyst – Sales Planning & Incentive Systems

The Opportunity.

We have an outstanding career opportunity for Business Systems Analyst – Sales Planning & Incentive Systems at Bangalore and Hyderabad locations, that will be responsible for driving innovation, optimization, and operational excellence across systems supporting Sales Planning and Incentive Compensation Management. This role operates within an AI-Driven Delivery Model — transforming the BSA function from a reactive requirement-taker into a strategic facilitator, business translator, and value-stream orchestrator. The ideal candidate leads with business outcomes, surfaces AI and automation opportunities, and drives delivery from the earliest moments of engagement.

This individual will partner with Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions using Varicent and related technologies. The ideal candidate combines deep Varicent expertise, business analysis skills, and strong stakeholder management capabilities to improve automation, reporting, data integrity, and user experience.

What you’ll do…

  • Serve as the Technical Product Owner for Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM), Designer model, and oversee ELT data integration supporting both ICM and Sales Planning. Own end-to-end system capabilities including compensation plan configuration, calculation and payout logic, as well as sales planning, territory management, quota planning, and incentive compensation processes.
  • Maintain expertise across Varicent Designer, ELT, Presenter Reports, and Sales Planning modules.
  • Evaluate and adopt new Varicent enhancements and capabilities to improve business outcomes.
  • Lead intake, requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, user story creation, and functional documentation, leveraging AI to facilitate all administrative aspects of the role.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, reports, dashboards, and analytics products and identifying areas for automation, AI, and other workflow improvements.
  • Design and optimize data transformation and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Develop reporting and analytics that provide actionable insights for Sales Leadership, Sales Operations, and Finance.
  • Partner with Sales Operations and Finance to interpret compensation plan documents and translate them into scalable system logic.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, root-cause analysis, and audit support activities.
  • Support testing, releases, production support, training, and adoption efforts.
  • Own ICM data pipeline integrity, including ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation of sales, bookings, and HR data.
  • Support building Presenter Reports for compensation reporting, statements, and dashboards for Sales, Sales Ops, Finance, and leadership.
  • Deliver earnings transparency tools (e.g., statements, dashboards, drill-through reporting).
  • Provide insights into compensation trends, attainment, and plan effectiveness.

Who you are…

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Varicent Incentive Compensation Management and/or Sales Planning solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Varicent Designer, ELT, Presenter Reports, and Sales Planning modules.
  • Experience with sales compensation, incentive administration, quota planning, territory management, and sales performance management processes.
  • Experience with data transformation, ETL/ELT pipelines, data integration, and reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and convert them into scalable technical solutions and business products.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience collaborating with Sales Operations, Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience working within global and geographically distributed teams.
  • Experience with Varicent Standard or Big Pipe architecture preferred.
  • Experience supporting global sales compensation and sales planning programs preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM, CPQ, or Revenue Operations technologies.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, data warehousing concepts, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience integrating Varicent with CRM, ERP, HRIS, and data warehouse solutions preferred.
  • Security and SaaS experience strongly preferred.
