As a Latam Accounting Manager, you will oversee all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and managing audit processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for tracking audit or internal findings, identifying root causes, and providing recommendations to improve business processes and strengthen internal controls, minimizing future control risks.
Key Responsabilities
- Verify and post monthly and annual journal entries for legal entities across select LATAM countries, with a primary focus on Colombia.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting of financial statements and trial balance reports.
- Oversee daily finance and accounting operations for local teams, ensuring full compliance with both local accounting standards and corporate regulations.
- Support local business development efforts, ensuring that accounting and finance policies are consistently applied throughout new initiatives.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and properly aligned with financial records.
- Assist in the launch of new products or business initiatives in LATAM, particularly in Colombia, ensuring seamless accounting integration.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements for LATAM entities, with a focus on Colombia.
- Participate in local audits, preparing and providing required documentation and explanations to auditors as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- 8+ years of proven experience in similar positions.
- Advanced skills in General Ledger accounting and Financial statement preparation
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
- Advanced level of English proficiency.
- Skilled in data analysis and interpretation.
- Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements in various LATAM countries, including Value Added Tax (VAT) and withholding taxes.
- Familiarity with transfer pricing regulations and methodologies, especially relevant for multinational organizations operating in LATAM.
- Strong problem-solving skills with clear, logical thinking.
