About Positive Development
Positive Development (PD) is a purpose-driven organization with a mission to provide families of neurodivergent children with the opportunity to thrive by advancing and honoring an individualized method of care. It is operated by dedicated professionals focused on diagnosing and further supporting the growth and development of autistic children and strengthening their connection with their family.
The Positive Development care model focuses on two key areas: autism diagnostics and developmental therapy. Diagnostic assessments are primarily conducted virtually, with in-person sessions available in select VA regions. Virtual assessments are offered in New Jersey, Virginia, Washington D.C., Maryland, Oklahoma, Illinois, Florida, and California. Autism therapy services are largely facilitated in the home of the child, with in-center (physical location) services available for children who need additional support in occupational and speech therapies. Currently, Positive Development serves 25 major city areas within 8 states, with additional growth service areas projected for 2026.
Clinicians and paraprofessionals at Positive Development are dedicated to honoring and respecting the entirety of every child. The Developmental Relationship-Based Intervention model, or DRBI, is a model of human development that is based on relationships and safe connections. This form of care is designed to connect parents and caregivers with their children through holistic approaches. It focuses on coaching and supporting parents to foster deep, meaningful interactions with their children through gentle, warm exchanges – most commonly, play. This relationship-based model encourages and empowers children to improve communication, learning, problem-solving, and emotional regulation.
If you are passionate about working with a purpose-driven organization that is deeply committed to ensuring autistic families have access to the care they need, Positive Development is an excellent place to grow your career. Positive Development employees are enthusiastic, collaborative, and supportive - all eager to drive the company’s growth inspired by its mission and vision to serve autistic children. We welcome kind, empathetic thought leaders to our growing company. Here, work changes lives but this career may change yours.
