Job Description
Our purpose is to help a billion people find the right work! Phenom is an AI-Powered talent experience platform that is redefining the HR tech space. We have grown into a global organization with offices in 6 countries and over 1,500 employees. As an HR tech unicorn organization, innovation and creativity is within our DNA. Come help us make every talent moment Phenomenal!
About the role
Product Operations is the connective layer between product strategy and execution across more than 25 product domains. As Director, you will build and run the systems that help product teams make better decisions, deliver predictably, operate a dependable platform, and communicate product value to the field.
This is not a project-tracking role. You will help Phenom move from feature delivery to outcome ownership. You will strengthen the operating model without taking problem-solving away from individual teams. You will lead a global team across the USA and India, turn complex internal conditions into clear operating systems, and give executives the data and judgment they need to make decisions.
This role is 5 days/week on-site.
What you’ll do
- Own the product operating cadence, from problem framing and discovery through delivery, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain a trusted insight layer that brings together product data, instrumentation, analytics, and reporting in one source of truth.
- Improve delivery predictability across product domains through release coordination, dependency management, capacity planning, and honest commitment tracking.
- Own the customer value chain from signed contracts through realized value, using data and intelligence to show whether customers are achieving measurable impact.
- Lead go-to-market and knowledge enablement, including onboarding, product practices, reusable playbooks, and sales-ready materials.
- Define and report the outcome signals that matter, including adoption, time to value, retention, delivery health, and customer value realization.
- Eliminate vanity metrics and replace activity reporting with measures that support better decisions.
- Lead and develop a global Product Operations team across the USA and India, setting direction, building capability, and creating a consistent operating rhythm across time zones.
- Help product domains move up the empowerment ladder by removing the constraints that keep teams in feature-factory mode.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of experience in Product Operations, Product Management, or a related discipline, including at least 3 years leading teams or complex cross-functional programs.
- Experience leading distributed or global teams, ideally across the USA and India, with the judgment and communication skills to work effectively across time zones and cultures.
- A track record of building and running operating models at scale across multiple teams or product lines.
- Strong fluency in product analytics and modern data stacks, such as Looker and Snowflake, with the ability to turn data into clear decisions.
- A strong understanding of modern product practices, empowered teams, outcome ownership, and the difference between outputs and outcomes.
- Experience partnering with Engineering on delivery, reliability, platform strategy, and technical trade-offs.
- Clear, direct communication and the ability to make executive-level decisions with incomplete information.
- A bias toward durable systems, repeatable processes, and scalable solutions over one-off fixes.
Nice to have
- Experience in Applied AI, SaaS or enterprise platforms.
- Exposure to talent, HR technology, or marketplace businesses.
- Familiarity with service-level agreement and reliability frameworks, incident operations, and technical service management.
- Experience connecting customer contracts to measurable value realization.
Salary
- Expected salary range $160,000 – 175,000
Please note the Salary range is subject to change in the future in accordance with Phenom’s
