Job Summary
As a Senior Product Manager at Phenom, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and adoption of our Automation Engine — the orchestration platform that powers workflows and AI agents across the talent lifecycle. This is a platform-focused PM role, requiring close collaboration with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams to define workflows, governance models, and extensibility patterns that support our entire suite.
The role also emphasizes AI product management: we are looking for someone with hands-on experience prototyping and launching AI-powered solutions, and who actively leverages AI for product efficiency. You will help evolve the Automation Engine from deterministic rules to intelligent orchestration, ensuring it becomes a key enabler for Phenom’s future agentic platform.
What You’ll Do
- Drive the strategic roadmap for the Automation Engine, including workflow expansion, agent orchestration, governance, and verticalized workflow packaging.
- Work closely with engineering to deliver highly reliable, scalable, and secure orchestration capabilities that power multiple Phenom products.
- Partner with other product teams across the entire Phenom ecosystem to ensure the Automation Engine integrates seamlessly and enables cross-suite workflows.
- Collaborate with HRIT/Admin users to understand how workflows are configured and ensure usability while maintaining guardrails.
- Prototype and validate new AI-driven capabilities (e.g., workflow suggestions, agent orchestration) and bring them into production.
- Define success metrics for adoption and impact (time saved, error-free execution, workflows deployed).
- Ensure governance standards are applied through the Developer Portal and support quality and consistency of published triggers and activities.
- Contribute to verticalization by helping package workflows for industries such as healthcare, retail, and financial services.
What You’ve Done
- 6–8 years of product management experience in SaaS, ideally with workflow automation, low-code/no-code, or infrastructure platforms.
- Proven track record of building and shipping AI-powered products, including early-stage prototyping and scaling into production.
- Experience collaborating with highly technical teams on platform or backend systems.
- Strong understanding of AI product practices: human-in-the-loop, explainability, and governance in enterprise contexts.
- Hands-on experience with AI prototyping tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with HR technology, ATS/HCM integrations, or workflow use cases is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams.
Benefits
We want you to be your best self and to pursue your passions!
- Health and wellness benefits/programs to support holistic employee health
- Flexible hours and working schedules, as well as parental leave for new parents
- Growing organization with career pathing and development opportunities
- Tons of perks and extras in every location for all Phenoms!
