We’re looking for a curious, tech-savvy, and collaborative Community Engineer to support the ongoing development and optimization of our customer community. This entry-level role is perfect for recent graduates with a background in computer science, software engineering, or data analytics who are eager to make an impact in a customer-facing environment.
As the Community Engineer, you’ll work closely with our Community Manager to enhance the user experience across our forums, events, and knowledge base—focusing on platform improvements, integrations, data tracking, and backend support. You’ll help us scale and evolve our community using smart, sustainable engineering practices.
What You'll Do
Platform & Backend Support
- Provide technical support for our community platform (e.g., Salesforce Experience Cloud, Khoros, or equivalent)
- Assist in maintaining and improving the community infrastructure, including workflows, automation, and integrations
Data & Reporting
- Build and maintain dashboards that track user engagement, page traffic, and key community metrics
- Partner with the Community Manager to analyze user behavior and provide insights that drive community growth
Content Infrastructure & Development
- Implement tagging, search optimization, and categorization improvements to enhance knowledge base discoverability
- Support content lifecycle automation (e.g., flagging outdated articles, triggering review reminders)
Loyalty & Gamification Support
- Help implement technical logic to award loyalty points for community actions (e.g., posting, attending events, completing tasks)
- Support the integration of the community with our loyalty platform (e.g., via APIs or data syncs)
Troubleshooting & QA
- Assist in identifying and resolving bugs or user experience issues within the community platform
- Conduct QA testing for new features or enhancements before release
What You've Done
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field
- Strong foundation in coding (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or Salesforce Apex/LWC)
- Comfortable working with APIs, databases, and basic system integrations
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SQL, or Salesforce reports)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities—especially with non-technical teammates
- Experience working with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Snowflake, ServiceNow, or Higher Logic Vanilla
- Exposure to marketing automation, loyalty programs, or gamification concepts

Salary
- Expected salary range $65,000-$70,000
Please note the Salary range is subject to change in the future in accordance with Phenom’s policies
