Why Patch, Why Now

Patch exists to put the planet back in balance by scaling unified climate action through software, market infrastructure, and culture-driven execution. Every day our platform not only curates the world’s most trusted carbon-removal and environmental datasets—it also moves 100s of millions of dollars to projects that cut, capture, or store CO₂ for good.

Our culture is built on three non-negotiables:

  • We build the future we want – we don’t wait for permission; we shape the market.

  • We’re all in this together – direct, empathetic teamwork inside Patch and across the climate ecosystem.

  • We amp it up – urgency and unreasonably high standards because the planet can’t wait.

If that mindset energizes you, read on.

The role's mission

We're looking for a talented Presentation Designer to join our team on a 6-month contract with the potential to transition to a full-time position. This role comes with a mutual two-week trial period, giving both you and us the opportunity to ensure it's the right fit.

At Patch, presentations are at the heart of how we communicate our mission and impact. We're working to make the voluntary carbon market accessible and understandable, which means translating complex climate science into clear, compelling stories that resonate with our clients. This is where exceptional design and visual storytelling become game-changers—helping potential partners grasp not just what we do, but why it matters for our planet's future.

You'll be collaborating with our incredible sales, climate strategy, marketing, and design teams to craft presentations that don't just inform, but inspire action in the fight against climate change. If you're excited about using your design skills to help scale climate solutions and make a meaningful environmental impact, we'd love to hear from you.

What you’ll do

  • Design and create compelling, visually engaging presentations for client pitches and, occasionally, for executive and internal audiences

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and product to understand objectives and translate complex concepts into clear, impactful visual narratives

  • Alongside our internal Design team, develop and maintain brand-consistent presentation templates, slide libraries, and design systems to ensure cohesive visual identity

  • Transform data and research findings into digestible infographics, charts, and visual storytelling elements

  • Collaborate with our internal Design team to push the creative boundaries of how we develop compelling presentations

  • Manage multiple presentation projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high quality standards

  • Stay current with design trends, presentation software capabilities, and best practices to continuously elevate our visual communication

  • Optimize presentations for various formats including in-person meetings, virtual presentations, and self-guided materials

What you bring

  • 4+ years of professional experience in presentation design, preferably in a startup environment

  • Expert proficiency in presentation software (PowerPoint, Google Slides, Pitch) and design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar)

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating your understanding of typography, color theory, layout principles, and how you use these to create visually compelling presentations across different industries and audiences

  • Experience working with data visualization and transforming complex information into accessible visual formats

  • Great communication skills and an ability to collaborate with diverse teams, incorporating feedback while maintaining design integrity — and even knowing when to push back or suggest alternative solutions

  • Strong project management skills with experience handling multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities

  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering polished, professional work

  • Knowledge of brand guidelines and ability to adapt designs while maintaining brand consistency

  • A plus: Ability and interest in working on other types of brand design projects (e.g., using Figma or Canva templates to create simple ads, social media posts, etc.)

What you’ll get

  • A mission-obsessed team shipping with speed and sky-high standards.

  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity

  • On-site culture in San Francisco with bi-annual off-sites for deep strategy & team bonding

  • Time-off-as-needed vacation & generous parental leave

  • Monthly wellness stipend (mental + physical)

If building the transactional rails and data engine to scale climate finance—while using AI as a force multiplier—sounds like your kind of challenge, we’d love to meet you.

Let’s rebalance the planet together.
