Description

The Manager, EMEA Treasury Operations will report to the Senior Manager, Global Treasury Operations and will own treasury operations across the EMEA region, including our In-House Bank (IHB) and FinCo structures. This is a leadership role: the successful candidate will manage and develop a team of two treasury analysts, hold payment approval authority for the region, make strategic decisions on cash, liquidity, and banking structure, and serve as EMEA's subject-matter expert on treasury regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own treasury strategy and operations across EMEA, setting the direction for cash management, liquidity structure, and banking relationships across the region.

  • Hold approval authority for EMEA payments, applying sound judgment on risk, controls, and exceptions rather than routine execution.

  • Manage and optimize the In-House Bank (IHB) and FinCo structures, making strategic decisions on cash mobilization structure and ensuring compliance with local regulatory and tax requirements.

  • Act as EMEA's subject-matter expert on treasury regulatory requirements, proactively identifying and resolving compliance risk across jurisdictions.

  • Own the EMEA banking relationships end to end: structuring partnerships, negotiating fees and service terms, and escalating and resolving issues.

  • Set direction for cross-functional coordination with AP, AR, IT, and GL, ensuring treasury requirements are represented in regional process design.

  • Partner with Legal, Tax, and Accounting on entity structuring, new market entry, and regulatory change, bringing a treasury point of view to strategic decisions.

  • Drive standardization and process transformation across EMEA treasury workflows, including bank account management (BAM), payment operations, and cash pooling infrastructure.

  • Lead treasury integration for acquired entities in the region, including banking onboarding, cash repatriation, and treasury system integration.

  • Own treasury-related audit requirements and bank confirmations; serve as the region's primary interface with internal auditors on SOX testing.

  • Represent EMEA treasury performance, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership, including Global Treasury and the Treasurer.

  • Step in as regional backup for other Treasury teams when needed on payments, cash reconciliation, FX settlements, and bank user administration.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • 10+ years of progressive treasury experience, including significant time running EMEA (or broader international) treasury operations at scale, with demonstrated payment approval and decision-making authority.

  • Demonstrated experience managing In-House Bank (IHB) and/or (FinCo) structures.

  • Strong command of EMEA regulatory and compliance requirements across treasury, tax, and banking, and sound judgment applying them to real decisions.

  • People management experience, with a track record of developing analysts into strong operational and strategic contributors and holding a team to a high bar.

  • A strategic mindset, able to set direction and structure for the region, not just execute against existing process.

  • Deep knowledge of the EMEA banking landscape, cash pooling structures, and cross-border liquidity management.

  • Executive presence and communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to organize and drive implementation strategies and roadmaps for large, complex business and technology initiatives.

  • Sound, independent judgment on risk and controls, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work autonomously covering the EMEA time zone.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA a plus.

  • 10+ years of Treasury-related work experience, with significant experience running EMEA treasury operations and payment approval authority.

  • CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) preferred.

  • Strong understanding of treasury controls, SOX compliance, and regulatory requirements across EMEA jurisdictions.

  • Strong understanding of cash management, corporate finance, and treasury management systems (TMS).

  • Experience supporting M&A treasury integration is a strong plus.

  • Fluent in English; additional European language skills a plus.
