We engage the community through compelling technical content, strategic programs, digital campaigns, events, and hands-on enablement. We also create a strong feedback loop that brings community insights directly into the development and evolution of the Salesforce Platform.
Who You Are
You are an experienced developer advocacy, technical community, or audience marketing leader with a passion for AI, platform innovation, storytelling, and community impact. You understand that AI is reshaping how practitioners build, customize, automate, and deliver customer experiences, and you are excited to help a large technical ecosystem navigate that shift.
You bring the credibility to engage deeply with Salesforce practitioners and the leadership experience to guide a multidisciplinary team of developer advocates and marketers. You are equally comfortable shaping regional strategy, leading integrated campaigns, and mentoring high-performing teams.
You know how to turn complex platform capabilities, including AI and data innovations, into clear, compelling stories that inspire technical audiences to learn, build, adopt, and advocate. You thrive in a matrixed, global organization and know how to align stakeholders, prioritize investments, measure impact, and create programs that scale across countries, audiences, and channels.
You’re Excited About This Role Because You Will
Lead the APAC Trailblazer Relations Strategy
Own, define, and continually evolve the regional engagement strategy for developers, admins, architects, partners, and technical leaders across India and the broader APAC region. Identify audience needs, regional opportunities, and market-specific priorities, and translate them into clear programs that grow awareness, engagement, adoption, and advocacy for the Salesforce Platform.
A major focus will be helping the APAC community understand and embrace the shift to AI, including how AI, data, automation, integration, and application development come together to create new opportunities for customers, partners, and practitioners.
Lead a Combined Team of Developer Advocates and Marketers
Provide executive leadership, coaching, and career development for a blended team of developer advocates and marketers. Set strategic priorities, clarify roles and success metrics, foster strong collaboration, and create an environment where technical depth and marketing excellence reinforce one another.
Guide the team in building AI-forward narratives, programs, and campaigns that are technically credible, regionally relevant, and accessible to a broad range of Salesforce practitioners.
Build Compelling Technical Content and Campaigns
Guide the creation and delivery of high-impact content and programs, including blogs, videos, workshops, demos, webinars, technical talks, Trailblazer stories, and community-led programming. Ensure content helps practitioners understand what is changing with AI, how to build effectively with new platform capabilities, and how to translate innovation into real customer value.
Ensure content is technically credible, regionally relevant, and aligned to broader platform, product, community, and go-to-market priorities.
Drive Integrated Community and Marketing Programs
Partner with regional and global stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns, community programs, events, and digital engagement strategies. Bring together developer advocacy, technical storytelling, product marketing, partner engagement, and field priorities into cohesive programs that scale across APAC.
Use these programs to build momentum around Salesforce’s AI, data, automation, and platform innovation, while helping practitioners move from awareness to hands-on learning, adoption, and advocacy.
Expand Community Reach and Influence
Represent Salesforce at key company, community, partner, and industry events. Build relationships with developers, admins, architects, partners, user group leaders, and technical influencers. Strengthen Salesforce’s presence and credibility with technical audiences across the region.
Serve as a visible advocate for how AI is changing the future of work, customer engagement, and application development, while grounding the message in practical, trusted, and actionable guidance for the community.
Create a Strong Feedback Loop into Product and Platform Teams
Capture insights from the community, partners, customers, and field teams, and translate them into actionable feedback for product, engineering, marketing, and regional leadership. Help ensure APAC community needs, adoption patterns, skills gaps, and AI-related opportunities are visible in global planning and platform evolution.
Measure Impact and Operational Excellence
Define clear goals and success metrics for community engagement, content performance, event impact, audience growth, campaign effectiveness, AI adoption readiness, and advocacy outcomes. Use data and insights to refine strategy, improve execution, and demonstrate business and community impact.
We’re Excited About You Because You Have
10+ years of experience in technology, developer relations, technical product marketing, platform evangelism, community marketing, solution architecture, or a related field.
5+ years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams across technical advocacy, marketing, content, community, or cross-functional programs.
Proven ability to build, lead, and scale regional community, advocacy, enablement, or marketing strategies for technical audiences across multiple countries or markets.
Strong understanding of enterprise software platforms, cloud technologies, application development, AI, data, integration, automation, architecture patterns, or related technical domains.
Experience helping technical audiences understand and adopt major technology shifts, ideally including AI, data platforms, automation, or emerging development paradigms.
Experience developing high-impact technical content, events, campaigns, and digital programs that drive awareness, engagement, adoption, and advocacy.
Strong storytelling, public speaking, executive communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
Demonstrated ability to influence across product, engineering, marketing, sales, partner, and regional leadership teams in a matrixed, global organization.
Experience using data, community insights, and performance metrics to guide strategy, prioritize investments, and demonstrate impact.
A passion for mentoring talent, building inclusive teams, and creating a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally to engage with customers, partners, internal teams, and community events.
