The Senior Account Executive for Public Sector will be responsible for driving the full sales journey across a set of strategic named accounts in Mexico — Conagua, Pemex, CFE, and Secretaría de Economía — accelerating the adoption of Salesforce's Customer 360 platform to modernize operations, improve citizen engagement, and deliver real social impact.

The Senior Account Executive for Public Sector will be responsible for driving the full sales journey across a set of strategic named accounts in Mexico — Conagua, Pemex, CFE, and Secretaría de Economía — accelerating the adoption of Salesforce's Customer 360 platform to modernize operations, improve citizen engagement, and deliver real social impact.
What You'll Be Doing...
- Develop and execute a consultative sales strategy tailored to federal government accounts, with a focus on Conagua, Pemex, CFE, and Secretaría de Economía.
- Manage complex, long-cycle deals including public procurement processes, government acquisitions, and regulatory frameworks specific to the Mexican public sector.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-level and senior decision-makers within assigned agencies and entities.
- Own the full sales cycle — from pipeline generation through close — consistently meeting and exceeding quota.
- Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts to drive strong annual revenue growth.
- Set accurate forecasts and maintain a healthy, well-managed pipeline in Salesforce CRM.
- Align and coordinate with Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Industry, and Services teams to deliver outstanding outcomes for customers.
- Stay current on the competitive landscape, public sector trends in Mexico, and the government's digital transformation agenda.
- Represent Salesforce at industry events, government forums, and public-private ecosystem spaces.
- 8+ years of experience in consultative technology sales, with at least 3 years focused on public sector or government accounts in Mexico.
- Deep understanding of Mexican public procurement processes: public tenders (licitaciones), direct awards, consolidated purchases, and the Ley de Adquisiciones framework.
- Proven track record of quota attainment and overachievement in complex, strategic accounts.
- Experience selling enterprise software solutions (CRM, ERP, data platforms, or similar) at the C-level and senior executive level.
- Ability to navigate highly matrixed organizations and build strong internal and external partnerships.
- Strong analytical, planning, and operational skills.
- An established network of contacts within federal government agencies is a key differentiator.
- Native Spanish speaker; intermediate to advanced English proficiency preferred.
