Description
About Trailhead
Trailhead is Salesforce's free online learning platform and the front door to the Salesforce ecosystem. It empowers anyone to build in-demand skills across AI, Agentforce, CRM, data, and business fundamentals — and helps organizations re-skill their workforce for the agentic era. The Trailhead Content team generates ideas, writes and edits content, develops hands-on challenges, and publishes and maintains the learning content that makes all of this possible. We believe content should be accessible, educational, relevant, and enjoyable. This is your chance to be part of it.
Role Description
As a Content Strategist, Emerging Products, you define the learning strategy for Salesforce's newest product innovations before they reach market. You embed early with our product and PPM teams to understand new product architectures, identify learner needs, and shape content plans ahead of general availability.
Salesforce ships new products fast, and learners need a way to build real skills the moment those products land. This role makes sure that learning is ready on day one, accurate, and built around what people actually need to do their jobs. As AI tools increasingly draw on Trailhead content to answer questions, getting that content right matters more than ever, for the human learning directly and for everything built on top of it.
Your Impact
Success in this role is measured by your ability to ensure Trailhead has a structured, trustworthy content strategy in place at every emerging product launch:
Own content strategy for emerging Salesforce products, starting with Headless 360, so Trailhead has day-one learning content at each launch.
Partner with product and engineering teams before GA to build real product depth and shape content plans early.
Translate complex technical architectures into learner-centered strategies for multiple audiences: admins, developers, architects, and employees.
Build reusable frameworks and playbooks that cut time-to-publish as new products enter the portfolio.
Define the content structure and quality standards that let Trailhead serve as a trusted source for AI agents and MCP-driven experiences.
Use beta feedback, early adoption signals, and stakeholder input to validate direction and adjust as products evolve.
Required Skills & Experience
4+ years in content strategy, instructional design, or content development, in a technology or enterprise learning environment.
A track record of turning complex technical concepts into clear, learner-centered content for multiple audiences.
Experience partnering with product or engineering teams to build content plans that track to product development cycles.
Strong cross-functional skills, with a history of building real relationships across product, PMM, and learning teams.
Familiarity with content frameworks, scalable content architecture, and reusable program design.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience developing content in a pre-GA or early-access environment.
Understanding of how AI agents access and use structured content (MCP, RAG, or similar).
Active Salesforce certifications or hands-on experience building Trailhead content.
Experience using data and feedback to validate and iterate on content strategy.
What We Look For In Every Hire
Learner-first. You tie content programs to measurable outcomes and work with field and product teams to solve real skill gaps, not hypothetical ones.
A clear communicator. Your writing is direct and jargon-free. You respect people's time.
Collaborative by default: you seek out other perspectives, share work early, and give feedback that actually helps.
High ownership. You own outcomes, flag blockers before they become fires, and take bold positions when the evidence backs you, even when that's the harder road.
Curious about AI. You test AI tools for content work and design strategies that prepare learners for human-agent workflows.
Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core proficiencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, volunteer work, etc.).
NOTE: By applying to the Content Strategist, Emerging Products posting recruiters and hiring managers across the organization hiring these roles will review your resume. Our goal is for you to apply once and have your resume reviewed by multiple hiring teams.
