What you'll be doing...

The RVP, Sales – Core will be responsible for driving sales growth across our Core product portfolio within the Retail vertical. This executive will lead a growing sales organization of Regional Vice Presidents and Account Executives, guiding complex, strategic transactions that transform how retailers operate and engage their customers. Your mission will be to develop a Destination Team distinguished by its supportive and inclusive culture, operational excellence, teamwork, commitment to professional development, and consistent performance.
  • Set and execute an aggressive customer acquisition strategy to generate strong annual growth in revenue and bookings within the Retail vertical.
  • Set proper expectations and forecast your business accurately.
  • Manage the overall sales process, setting appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
  • Hold yourself and your team accountable to quota attainment. Meet and exceed pipeline generation and sales goals.
  • Establish trusted relationships with key corporate teams including retail industry marketing, product development, field marketing, strategic operations, product management, and recruiting.
  • Implement an effective operating model and ensure internal processes are followed. Drive adoption and utilization of our sales methodology and our sales and marketing systems and tools.
  • Align and coordinate product, customer success, and services teams to deliver incredible outcomes for our retail customers.
  • Stay ahead of retail industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging customer needs.
  • Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding our retail customer base. Define new processes and programs to increase overall productivity and results.

Who you are...
  • 7+ years of experience as a sales manager, preferably with 2nd/3rd line leadership experience.
  • Consistent overachievement of quota and revenue goals, ideally within the Retail industry or selling into retail accounts.
  • Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal, and referenceable customers.
  • Proven success working within a highly matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading comprehensive pipeline generation strategy and execution within a vertical or territory-based sales model.
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities.
  • Sales experience and revenue achievement selling complex enterprise software offerings, primarily at the C-level, to retail executives (CIO, CMO, CDO, COO).
  • Deep understanding of retail business challenges including omnichannel strategy, supply chain, customer loyalty, and digital transformation.
  • Strong track record of recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing sales team.
