The Experience

The Account Solution Engineer, Mid-Market, is part of the Austrian Sales team at Salesforce. In this role, you will partner with Account Executives to help Austrian mid-market customers solve real business challenges using AI, Data, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions. The environment is fast-moving and varied — you work across the full Salesforce portfolio, with direct access to decision makers and early responsibility for shaping how customers build confidence in their path forward.

We are looking for an Account Solution Engineer who enjoys turning ideas into working solutions, learns by building, and is excited by the opportunity to help evolve how Solution Engineering is practised in the age of AI.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Lead discovery sessions to understand customer root causes and map them to Salesforce capabilities, designing and delivering solution concepts and demonstrations linked to clear business outcomes.

  • Orchestrate the solution cycle with Account Executives (AEs) and specialists across the full Salesforce portfolio, ensuring a cohesive and outcome-focused customer experience.

  • Support pipeline generation through customer workshops, executive briefings, and industry events.

  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of Solution Engineering practices within the team, sharing learnings openly to help everyone grow faster.

You're Our Person If...

  • You have 1 to 3 years of experience in a role where technology and process meet — such as innovation, consulting, or a pre-sales adjacent position — with the ability to explain complex topics simply and present clearly to a range of audiences.

  • You have an awareness of how systems connect, including Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), data flows, or integration concepts, and can sketch simple architectures to reason about solutions.

  • You are business-fluent in German and professionally proficient in English for customer-facing work.

  • You are curious, driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where you take initiative and learn by doing.

Even Better If...

  • You have an interest in prototyping through low-code tools, AI agents, or coding assistants, and curiosity for how solutions work behind the scenes.

  • You have familiarity with the Austrian mid-market landscape and the specific business challenges and buying dynamics of mid-market customers in Austria.
