The Experience

The Senior Manager, Physical Security is part of Salesforce's Global Security team, responsible for keeping our people, assets, and operations safe across our Northeast US locations — including New York, Boston, and Washington DC. This is an office-based, in-person role reporting to the Senior Director of Physical Security.

We're looking for a seasoned security leader to drive our regional physical security program forward. You'll lead a team of talented security professionals, build strong partnerships across the business, and make a real impact on the safety of our employees and workplaces every day. This role includes occasional travel within the region.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Lead and mentor a regional team of security professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across multiple Northeast US locations.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for physical security operations in your Area of Responsibility (AoR), overseeing access control, guard force staffing, and enterprise risk management — while ensuring alignment with global security standards.
  • Manage security for small to medium-sized in-region and on-campus events, and support large-scale public-facing events as needed; lead emergency response initiatives including crisis management plans, tabletop exercises, and live drills.
  • Oversee the regional security budget, vendor relationships, and quarterly business reviews, capturing key metrics and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You're Our Person If...

  • You have 10+ years of experience in security operations or a closely related field in the public or private sector.
  • You have a proven track record leading security teams with a focus on operations, training, and budgeting.
  • You communicate and lead effectively under pressure, with strong skills in presentation, writing, research, and analysis.
  • You've developed relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement and have experience proactively gathering intelligence to mitigate workplace violence and other security risks.

Even Better If...

  • You have experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • You're eager to expand your expertise into areas like Risk Intelligence and Threat Monitoring, Investigations and Incident Response, Executive Protection, Security Systems and Technology, or Project Management.
