Role Description
Join the Agentic AI team at Salesforce working on Data Management and make a real impact with your software designs and code! This position requires technical skills, outstanding analytical and influencing skills, and extraordinary business insight. It is a multi-functional role that requires building alignment and communication with several engineering organisations.
We work in a highly collaborative environment, and you will partner with a highly cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Machine learning engineers, UX experts, and product managers to build upon CLAIRE Agentic Data Management, our innovative new AI framework. We value execution, clear communication, feedback and making learning fun.
Your Impact (Execution):
You will:
Design, implement, test, and deliver highly scalable AI solutions including Autonomous Agents, AI Copilots/assistants, Chatbots, AI Planners, and RAG solutions.
Act as the hands-on domain expert for multiple AI products, writing code and collaborating with PMs, UX, and developers to bring agentic features to life.
Drive technical roadmaps for Agentic AI products and own the entire SDLC.
Analyze and provide feedback on product strategy and technical feasibility.
Troubleshoot complex production issues and work with support and customers as needed
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a scrum team while leading code reviews and design sessions.
Required Skills (Expertise):
Evaluation-Led Development & Benchmarking: Proven capability in driving evaluation-led development to guarantee optimal performance, robust scalability, and absolute Customer Trust in non-deterministic AI/ML systems using NFRs, SLIs, and SLOs.
Deep expertise in Model Architectures and AI Systems, including orchestration frameworks for large-scale production deployments.
Advanced Context Engineering to build high-quality, contextualized AI experiences via RAG solutions and cutting-edge alternates.
Expertise in defining, packaging, and deploying structured 'Skills' (prompts/tools) for deterministic, headless agent workflows.
Technical Leadership in Agentic Development, including designing and implementing agentic solutions and AI interfaces.
Ability to design and implement inter-agent protocols (A2A) and Human-Agent Collaboration (HAC) frameworks to manage shared context and ensure responsible autonomy.
Deep understanding and implementation of an AI Trust Layer to ground AI systems in enterprise context, ensuring security and auto-blocking threats like prompt injection.
Proficiency in distributed systems, event-driven architecture and cloud native technologies like Kubernetes
Experience with the full software lifecycle in highly agile and ambiguous environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
6-15 years of overall experience in software engineering.
Preferred Skills
Expertise in Data architectures including designing and implementing data pipelines and real-time data systems for high-scale AI products.
Familiarity with PySpark for large-scale data processing and distributed computing tasks within AI pipelines.
Experience with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD), and service ownership.
