Team Overview
The Office of Ethical and Humane Use (OEHU) was formed with a mandate to ensure that Salesforce technology is used to help, not harm, society and respect human rights principles. The Policy team plays a pivotal role in advancing and implementing ethical use policies and initiatives across Salesforce products and technologies.
As Salesforce accelerates its AI-first transformation, OEHU has expanded its scope to include cross-cutting AI policy and safety work — including EU AI Act and Digital Services Act (DSA) compliance, acceptable use policy development, global market risk, human rights, content safety, and agentic AI governance.
Role Overview
OEHU is seeking a Policy Intern to join the Ethical Use Policy team at Salesforce and play a pivotal role in developing and implementing ethical use policies across Salesforce products and technologies. Over the course of the year, you will gain hands-on experience applying ethical frameworks to real-world technology and business challenges. The internship includes:
An introduction to Salesforce, OEHU, and enterprise technology policy.
A deep dive into ethical use policy, human rights and international market risk considerations in technology, responsible AI, and emerging risks related to agentic AI.
Exposure to how ethical principles are translated into policies, guidance, and executive-level recommendations that guide responsible business decisions.
The Policy Intern will conduct structured policy research, analyze internal and external policies, and contribute to policy work.
Job Responsibilities

Review internal policies and industry standards to identify best practices, gaps, and emerging risks
Analyze case studies and real-world incidents to assess policy effectiveness, trade-offs, and lessons learned
