Description
As a strategic partner in our Employee Success (ES) M&A team, you will direct the end-to-end people strategy for our global acquisitions. You are not just an integration lead; you are a pioneer in the agentic transformation of M&A. Your mandate is to move beyond manual, spreadsheet-heavy processes by leveraging AI-driven agents to automate workflows, accelerate integration value, and deliver a seamless "future-state" employee experience.
You'll help to shape the future of HR M&A at one of the most acquisitive companies in the technology industry, working on a range of small-but-not-simple tuck-ins to multi-billion dollar acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
M&A Strategy & Execution
Lead M&A strategy and conduct all HR operational and financial due diligence, assessing organizational and people implications for each transaction.
Design, build, and manage comprehensive project plans, budgets, and all key integration deliverables (e.g., reports, integration plans, communications).
Direct global integration efforts in partnership with the extended HR team and cross-functional leaders to ensure consistent, compliant, and seamless employee experiences while owning all risk escalation and integration reporting.
Drive continuous improvement of the HR M&A integration playbook and advise HR Business Partners on troubleshooting and supporting acquired employees during their transition.
Governance & Compliance
Data Integrity: Establish rigorous governance standards for managing sensitive employee data through AI-assisted data rooms and automated audit logs.
Global Compliance: Ensure all integration activities comply with local labor laws and international consultation requirements while maintaining a "OneTeam" global approach.
Agentic Transformation & AI Innovation
Workflow Orchestration: Lead the "agentification" of ES M&A by implementing AI-driven tools to automate high-volume tasks such as benefits side-by-sides, role mapping and leveling, offer letter generation, and approval sequences.
Strategic Process Reengineering: Act as a "Use Case Manager" to identify and eliminate operational bottlenecks. Partner with innovation squads to build future-state process designs that can be automated and scaled across the enterprise.
The Person Most Successful in this Role
Strategic Visionary & Operator: You combine 10+ years of HR/M&A experience with a passion for disruptive innovation and can balance big-picture people strategy with disciplined execution.
AI Champion: You are eager to "build for the M&A persona" within core ES systems, moving work from manual tools (e.g., Google Sheets) to agent-first platforms.
Courageous Influencer: You can build trust with acquired leaders (even in ambiguous, late-night deal scenarios) and influence internal COEs to prioritize M&A-specific complexities and needs.
Global Navigator: You are effective in highly matrixed environments and comfortable flexing to support international deal cycles.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 10+ years of relevant HR experience, with a minimum of 5–8 years specifically leading HR M&A activities in the technology industry.
M&A Depth: Proven track record leading large-scale integrations (1,000+ employees) and managing global stakeholders.
Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% of the time during peak deal activity.
For roles in San Francisco and Los Angeles: Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance and the Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring, Salesforce will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
