Description
Principal, Solution Engineering
Overview of the Role:
Sits at the intersection of AI-assisted development, Salesforce platform expertise, and customer enablement. This is not a traditional Solution Engineer role; it is built for builders who are deeply curious about how AI agents change the way technical work gets done and who want to be at the forefront of that shift.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and operationalize agentic AI-driven workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and tools like Agentforce Vibes, Claude, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate demo creation
- Empower customers to build, configure, and support their own Salesforce environments faster and smarter using industry-specific clouds like Agentforce for Public Sector.
- Proactively build production-ready, open-sourced, and standards-aligned accelerators targeting State and Local Government customers based on the "80% Generic Core" philosophy, providing Localization Guides for the Systems Integrator (SI)-led final 20%.
- Scope every accelerator through the Triple Filter (Open Data Mandate, Standards Mandate, Revenue Matrix) and measure success by Net New Annual Order Value (NNAOV) and consumption metrics.
- Act as a strategic advisor to Product Management, providing critical feedback on Agentforce Vibes and identifying cross-functional integration gaps within the Headless 360 ecosystem to optimize AI-assisted development workflows.
Required Qualifications:
- Background as a Platform or Technical Architect with expertise in Salesforce platform capabilities (Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, Salesforce DX) and industry-specific clouds like Agentforce for Public Sector.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot), along with an understanding of the Model Context Protocol
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Node.js, Bash), DevOps (Git, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Docker), and robust API integration (REST/GraphQL) to design accelerators for State and Local Government
- Ability to travel 20-30% for customer engagements, Tiger Team activations, and industry events
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience sourcing and working with open data sets from platforms like Hugging Face and Kaggle.
- Familiarity with open-sourcing projects and creating technical localization guides for partners.
- Familiarity with Agentforce, Einstein, or Salesforce AI features.
- Active participation in the AI developer community (open source contributions, blog posts, conference talks).
