Corporate Counsel, Commercial Legal - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Overview of the Role:
Salesforce is looking for a high-performing, results-oriented Corporate Counsel to join our Commercial Legal team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As part of our continued growth in the Middle East and the establishment of our Regional Headquarters in Riyadh, this role will provide innovative, trusted, and world-class legal support to advance and protect Salesforce's interests across the region. With Agentforce woven into every layer of our platform, you will play a critical role in enabling business growth in one of our most strategically important markets.
Responsibilities:
Advise on KSA and broader Middle East laws, regulations, and procedures, and draft, negotiate, and advise on strategic technology service agreements with commercial and public sector customers and partners.
Provide legal counsel and regulatory guidance to executives and business teams on matters related to the sale of cloud-based, on-premises, and professional services across the region.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including privacy, government affairs, security, and compliance to ensure agreements are consistent with internal policies, and provide support on existing contracts and any potential disputes.
Contribute to the development of legal training materials, support responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and actively participate in cross-regional team projects and the ongoing development of the EMEA Commercial Legal team.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable law firm or as in-house commercial counsel within a large organization operating in the Middle East, with substantial experience in KSA commercial and technology contracting.
Demonstrated expertise in cloud computing, AI, data privacy, and intellectual property laws, with knowledge of Islamic Sharia law and public procurement processes.
Outstanding legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
Business fluency in both Arabic and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Qualified lawyer within a major jurisdiction and/or KSA.
Master's Degree; an LLM or additional studies in an English-speaking country is a plus.
Experience with US revenue recognition standards and exposure to public procurement activities.
Proven ability to build strong working relationships with demanding internal clients and develop innovative legal solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
