Sr. Director, Solutions - CBS Commercial (Mid-Market & GB)
The Role
As the Leader of Solutions for our CBS Commercial business, you are not just managing a team, you are shaping how Salesforce helps customers win in the era of the Agentic Enterprise. You will lead a high-performing organization of 50+ Solution Engineers and frontline leaders, driving technical excellence, AI-led innovation, and measurable customer outcomes across our Mid-Market and General Business (GB) segments.
This is a highly customer-facing leadership role that requires strong executive communication and storytelling skills. The ideal candidate can confidently engage customer executives, deliver compelling platform and AI vision presentations, and help shape transformational conversations with some of our most strategic commercial customers.
You will serve as a strategic partner to Sales leadership, helping align technical strategy and field execution to the business. In CBS Commercial, we partner across the customer lifecycle to help customers envision, evaluate, and adopt transformational platform capabilities powered by Agentforce, Data Cloud, Slack, and the broader Salesforce platform.
This role requires an operator, builder, and innovator who can scale teams, modernize how Solution Engineering works, and help customers move from AI experimentation to enterprise-wide execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Lead a multi-layered organization of frontline managers and individual contributors. Drive the health, performance, development, and operational excellence of a 50+ person team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, curiosity, and customer obsession.
Executive Deal Strategy
Serve as a technical sponsor and strategic advisor on high-priority customer engagements. Provide executive-level business and technical credibility on complex customer conversations by translating Salesforce innovation into clear business outcomes through compelling presentations, storytelling, and vision-setting.
Executive Customer Engagement & Thought Leadership
Act as an executive-facing leader with customers, representing Salesforce at key meetings, workshops, QBRs, and strategic engagements. Develop compelling narratives, presentations, and thought leadership content that help customers understand the art of the possible with AI, Agentforce, Data Cloud, and the Salesforce platform.
Operational Innovation
Design, pilot, and scale repeatable sales plays, technical engagement models, and AI-enabled workflows that improve customer engagement and field productivity.
Sales SVP & AVP Partnership
Serve as a trusted partner to Sales leadership by aligning technical resources to priority opportunities, improving execution rigor, and providing visibility into deal progression, customer priorities, and technical blockers.
Talent Development & Organizational Scale
Recruit, develop, and retain top technical talent. Build future leaders while creating an inclusive, high-performance culture focused on continuous learning, technical depth, and business impact.
Lead Customers Through the Agentic Enterprise Transformation
Evangelize Salesforce’s AI, Agentforce, Data Cloud, Slack, and platform strategy with customer executives. Help customers move beyond isolated AI use cases toward scalable, trusted, enterprise-wide digital labor strategies.
AI-Powered Solution Engineering
Drive adoption of AI-enabled workflows across the Solutions organization to improve productivity, speed, and quality across discovery, account planning, demo creation, prototypes, and customer engagement.
Value-Led Solutioning
Drive a solutions approach focused on rapid business alignment, customer value realization, and scalable platform design. Encourage teams to leverage prototypes, demonstrations, and AI-enabled workflows to accelerate customer decision-making and confidence.
Data-Driven Coaching & Execution
Leverage operational insights and AI-driven analytics to improve forecast accuracy, identify coaching opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and proactively address execution risks.

Strong executive presence with the ability to connect technology strategy to measurable business outcomes. Comfortable engaging with both technical stakeholders and business executives. Understands how to bring enterprise-level strategic selling, executive engagement, and transformational platform conversations into a commercial business environment with speed, scalability, and operational rigor.
Leadership at Scale
Experience leading leaders in complex, matrixed environments while maintaining a strong team culture and high operational standards.
AI & Platform Vision
Passion for AI, automation, digital labor, and platform transformation. Ability to help customers and teams envision what’s possible with Agentforce, Data Cloud, Slack, and the Salesforce platform.
Commercial Acumen
Strong understanding of pipeline management, ACV growth, customer engagement strategies, and scalable go-to-market execution.
Builder Mentality
Ability to operationalize strategy into scalable field execution. Comfortable building new motions, simplifying complexity, and driving consistency across a fast-growing commercial business. Comfortable creating executive-ready content, strategic narratives, and customer-facing presentations in a fast-moving environment.

Experience building scalable motions, operational rigor, and repeatable frameworks that improve team effectiveness and customer outcomes.
Technical Depth
Strong foundation in enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, integrations, AI solutions, and modern customer engagement strategies.
