Description

Salesforce is looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking Manager, Employee Communications to join our Global Employee Communications team. This individual is a creative force — a superb writer and visual storyteller who thrives on finding new, unexpected ways to connect with employees. You'll help drive some of our highest-impact internal programs — serving as lead producer on a short-form employee video series that makes Salesforce's strategic vision and values tangible and exciting, and owning end-to-end communications for flagship company events — while serving as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders and helping shape how we connect and engage our global workforce. The ideal candidate is a proactive, independent self-starter who brings both a strong operational instinct and a fresh creative perspective to everything they do, helping us set a new standard for employee connection and engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Content Creation & Storytelling: Serve as lead producer on our internal short-form video series — driving creative direction, pitching ideas, shaping scripts, sourcing talent, and partnering with editors and stakeholders to bring stories to life in ways that inspire and excite employees. Proactively brainstorm and pitch innovative ideas for new programs, content formats, and engagement strategies that keep our internal communications fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve. As needed, be on-camera host to interview employees.
  • Marquee Event Communications: Own the full communications strategy and execution for our marquee internal events — from building and managing a complex, multi-workstream comms plan to writing and editing the actual communications that inform, inspire, and move employees to act. Manage the comms doc, coordinate across stakeholders, execute all comms elements (BaseCamp articles, Slackbot prompts, digital screens, graphics), and adapt quickly as plans evolve. Own employee viewership and engagement reporting.
  • Writing & Editorial Excellence: Write, edit, and refine a wide range of internal communications — from event messaging and video scripts to podcast briefs and executive voice content — with a consistent ability to match brand tone, simplify complex ideas, and make every word earn its place.
  • Video Program Operations: Lead operations for the internal short-form video program, including documenting best practices, defining roles & responsibilities, maintaining a production playbook, and serving as the primary liaison with the contract video editor. Own video metrics tracking.
  • Measurement & Effectiveness: Provide ongoing data analysis and KPI dashboard management to assess the effectiveness of communications and channels — leveraging insights to inform and continuously improve our approaches.
  • Podcast Support: Provide support on The Leading Edge podcast as needed, including co-creating briefs and reviewing episodes.
  • Content Distribution & Cross-Functional Partnerships: Support the distribution of content across the company by building and maintaining strong relationships with key partner teams — including Executive Communications — to ensure stories, programs, and campaigns reach the right audiences with maximum impact.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in communications or marketing
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills — you write with clarity, creativity, and a strong sense of voice, and your work consistently moves people
  • Hands-on experience across the video production lifecycle — scripting, directing, managing editors, and publishing to digital channels — plus comfort as an on-camera host and a genuine ability to coach employees and leaders to show up confidently on screen.
  • Proven ability to build and manage complex, fluid communications plans for large-scale events or campaigns — including navigating last-minute changes with composure and clarity
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple programs simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technology concepts and translate them into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with a broad employee audience — no technical background required to engage.
  • Strong understanding of data analytics and content performance measurement
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative, culture-first mindset with genuine passion for employee engagement
  • Self-starter who can work independently and seek out answers

Preferred

  • Experience in a fast-paced, global tech environment
  • Familiarity with Slack as a communications platform
  • Experience working with external contractors or video production teams
  • Proficiency in editing software (Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, CapCut)
  • A Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
