Due to continued success within our Public Sector division, we are looking for an Enterprise Account Executive to join our team focused on Higher Education institutions in Southern Italy. This territory covers a strategic region including Lazio, Abruzzo, Umbria, Marche, Puglia, Campania, Calabria, Sicilia, and Sardegna.

You will lead Salesforce’s commercial efforts and account strategies within this dedicated territory, managing relationships with prestigious historical universities and emerging research centers. You will be responsible for both nurturing existing clients and capturing "greenfield" opportunities where digital transformation is a top priority.

The Role

You will leverage the Salesforce Customer 360 portfolio, leading with our Education Cloud. As Italian universities strive to modernize the student journey—from orientation and enrollment to career services and alumni relations—you will position Salesforce as the standard for a true 360-degree view of all stakeholders.

The successful candidate will orchestrate complex sales cycles, coordinating internal teams across Digital Experience, MuleSoft, Tableau, Slack, and Professional Services, while navigating the specific regulatory and procurement landscape of the Italian Public Sector.

Responsibilities

  • Territory Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for the South of Italy Higher Education patch, focusing on pipeline generation and long-term digital partnerships.

  • Public Sector Navigation: Drive sales through relevant Italian public procurement frameworks (e.g., Consip, MePA) and align proposals with PNRR funding opportunities.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build deep relationships with "Rettori," General Managers (Direttori Generali), and IT Directors (SIA) to align Salesforce solutions with institutional KPIs.

  • Orchestration: Lead the end-to-end sales process by engaging Business Development, Solutions Engineers, and specialized Partners within the Italian ecosystem.

  • Value Selling: Embody the Salesforce culture of equality and innovation, acting as a trusted advisor to the Mediterranean academic community.

Required Qualifications

  • Public Sector Expertise: Proven experience selling to the Italian Public Sector (PA). Knowledge of the Higher Education market is a significant advantage.

  • SaaS Experience: Strong background (ideally 5+ years) in selling Enterprise SaaS solutions.

  • C-Level Fluency: Ability to communicate complex value propositions to both technical (IT) and non-technical (Institutional/Academic) leadership.

  • Execution: A consistent track record of overachieving quotas and managing accurate forecasts in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%) across Southern Italy to meet prospects and attend regional events, with occasional travel to the Milan or Rome hubs.

  • Language: Fluency in Italian and English is essential.

  • Education: Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
