Description

As a Platform Demo Engineer (Pre-Sales), you won’t just be building software; you’ll be building the "art of the possible." This is a high-impact pre-sales role designed to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and visionary storytelling.

You will partner with our Solution Engineering (SE) teams to design, develop, and maintain demo assets that showcase the power of the full Salesforce Platform and ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Asset Development: Architect and build reusable Lightning Web Components (LWC), complex Apex triggers/classes, and sophisticated Flows to enhance our demo environments.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Act as a technical consultant to Solution Engineers for Salesforce Trusted Services and Developer products, covering Shield, Encryption, Privacy Center, Sandboxes, and more.
  • Scalability & Innovation: Develop "plug-and-play" assets that can be easily deployed across different industries (e.g., Health Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Manufacturing).
  • Troubleshooting: Serve as the final line of defense for technical demo issues, ensuring a seamless experience for our account executives and prospects.
  • Platform Evangelism: Stay ahead of the curve on new Salesforce releases (three times a year) to incorporate the latest features into our demo toolkit.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Advanced Salesforce Development: 2+ years of hands-on experience with Apex, LWC, and Salesforce Flows. You should be comfortable writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Web Technologies: Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • The "Pre-Sales Mindset": You understand that a demo needs to be flashy and fast, not just functional. You can prioritise "wow factor" alongside technical stability.

Advantages

  • Salesforce Certifications: Admin, Platform Developer I & II, JavaScript Developer I, or Application Architect.
  • UI/UX Design: A keen eye for design and the ability to make a standard Salesforce page look like a bespoke, premium application.
  • Experience in Pre-Sales: Prior experience as a Sales Engineer or Demo Engineer is a significant plus.
