The Director, Solutions Engineering, will partner with the sales, professional services and customer success leadership in the ASEAN region to build a high-growth business. The ideal candidate will have experience building and developing high performing pre-sales teams as well as broad experience in account strategy and coaching and a desire to plan and execute impactful regional business development customer events.

The successful candidate is a natural leader who loves to build high-growth enterprise software business, driving strategic customer outcomes through both their own experience and, more importantly, through the efforts of their highly talented team.

Reporting directly to the Solutions Engineering VP for the ASEAN region, this person will be a key member of the regional leadership team and will be responsible for managing and growing a team of Solution Engineers, playing a crucial role in driving a high-growth business.

You will be responsible for developing and allocating resources, participate in strategic deals, and support team members' growth. You will collaborate closely with the Solution Engineering management team and peers in sales to drive strategic outcomes for customers and internal innovation.

The successful candidate will ideally have a strong background in the integration and data management domain with experience of MuleSoft or similar technologies. A key part of the role will be develop deep relationships with C Level or C+1 level in our customer organizations - becoming a trusted technology adviser. The candidate should demonstrate a strong background in C level engagement across the ASEAN region.

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Previous experience in front-line management
  • Background in integration and data management solutions is an advantage
  • Track record in complex enterprise presales within a software organization.
  • Experience in building organisations and hiring top talent.
  • Ability to maintain high morale, motivate the team, and exemplify Salesforce’s core values.
  • Proven record of strategising on large, complex sales with solution-selling skills.
  • Effective at building senior and executive relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of improving organizations through innovation and process changes.
  • Strong communication skills with internal resources, including executives, product development, product marketing, and sales management.
