Job Summary:
As a Resource Manager for the Professional Services Global Delivery Center (GDC), you will be a strategic partner to project teams, driving the end-to-end staffing lifecycle. You will balance GDC demand with internal capacity, ensuring we maximize utilization while maintaining a high bar for customer success and consultant growth.
Working in close coordination with a Team Lead and a high-performing peer group, you will own the sourcing and allocation of consultants across Professional Services engagements. You will drive alignment between stakeholders - including Services Leadership, Business Partners, and Project Teams to ensure our most critical engagements are staffed for success.
Key responsibilities:
Key areas of responsibility include: Opportunity Management, Resource Management, Conflict Management, Reporting & Analysis/Health of the Business activities.
Act as a trusted value partner to the business, managing the full staffing lifecycle from resource request (RR) validation to final allocation.
Work in close daily coordination with the Team Lead to ensure staffing decisions align with GDC-wide priorities and strategies.
Engage actively with a peer team of RMs to share "cross-practice" talent, solve global supply challenges, and maintain a high-performing team dynamic.
Monitor your assigned practice’s bench and pipeline; identify potential shortfalls and proactively suggest internal or global alternatives.
Lead staffing meetings with GDC stakeholders to align resources against open requests, providing data-backed and forward looking narratives on bench health and utilization.
Negotiate staffing trade-offs between competing projects, managing stakeholder expectations while escalating the most complex conflicts to the Team Lead.
Maintain absolute accuracy in our backend systems (Org62/FinancialForce) to ensure "Single Source of Truth" reporting.
Review upcoming closures, renewals and ensure start dates align to capacity and plan capacity accordingly.
Assign available consultants to projects in accordance with their skillsets, previous experience and availability.
Provide narrative on capacity plans, highlight supply or demand or skill set challenges.
Identify bottlenecks in the staffing workflow and collaborate with the team to implement innovative solutions that increase "speed to staff."
Requirements
3+ years of experience in Professional Services staffing, Resource Management, or Operations within a fast-paced global environment.
Proven ability to manage and work as an independent Staffing Manager while functioning fluidly as part of a structured team.
Ability to navigate "matrix" ways of working, influencing stakeholders toward consensus in high-pressure situations.
Analytical Mindset: Excellent numeracy and analytical skills; ability to interpret Salesforce data to report on business performance.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM and/or PSA tools (FinancialForce/Certinia) is highly preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present materials to leadership.
Ability to multi-task while managing tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a rapidly developing business environment.
