We are looking for technically strong Software Engineers who are passionate about developing, maintaining and releasing high quality software that delights our customers. The software engineer role at Salesforce encompasses architecture, design, implementation, and testing to ensure we build products right and release them with high quality. You will be working with a group of world-class engineers to develop key product capabilities, fixing defects and gaps, validating quality and ensuring our customers have highly reliable and scalable products and services. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet our needs. Responsibilities
Development and maintenance of robust and scalable client & server-side components
Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve customer defects and production issues with Tableau products in a timely manner.
Triage and resolve basic, well-defined, work items and customer defects with needed guidance.
Leverage AI tools across the lifecycle of work items
Analyze product log files, crash dumps, network traces, etc.
Write code (new development, bug fixes), and automated tests, and ensure adherence to coding standards,quality standards and best practices.
Develop understanding of how the fixed module integrates with the broader product.
Learn technologies, design patterns, and Engineering Best Practices.
Work in a Hybrid Engineering model, collaborating with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and specifications.
Strive to improve your work every sprint by making small changes to your approach.
Clearly document steps-to-reproduce, root cause analysis (RCA) findings, logical fix explanations.
Log and provide timely status updates on assigned work items.
Transparently share progress and roadblocks with their mentor and senior engineers.
Qualifications
Experience B.S/M.S. in Computer Sciences or equivalent field.
0-2 years of relevant software development experience with deep working expertise primarily in C++ 17 or Java 17 and later.
Experience in other languages like, Javascript, Typescript, C# will be good to have
Experience in software engineering development paradigms and best practices, with high focus on reliability and quality.
Understanding of architecture principles, design patterns, multithreading, concurrency, queues, locks, scheduling, event-driven architecture, workload distribution, along with a deep understanding of relational databases and non-relational databases.
Understanding of object-oriented programming
Understanding of debugging and performance optimization techniques
Familiarity with relational databases and SQL queries.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and software engineering best practices including coding standards, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills
Preferred: Experience working in enterprise-level SaaS products and deploying services on public cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Preferred: Experience working in large scale distributed systems, working with microservices, container orchestration and/or distributed architecture.
Preferred: Experience in data processing, data transformation and analytical technologies.
Preferred: Contributions to personal projects, hackathons, or open-source repositories (e.g., GitHub portfolio).
