Description
We are looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced community marketing manager to deliver world-class marketing programs for Slack Developers, who build customized solutions to solve business challenges and deliver real business value with both Salesforce and Slack. You will be responsible for supporting the Slack Community program which brings Slack developers, admins, super users, and enthusiasts together to empower their success. You will also be responsible for managing our presence at community events around the world. This role is multi-functional and hands-on, and is an outstanding opportunity for a real 360-degree marketer, who thrives on making an impact.
Responsibilities & Impact:
Manage the operations of the Slack Community, including support for the Slack Community Workspace, Bevy, Trailblazer forums, Reddit, Stack Overflow, and more.
Support the Slack Community Group program and leaders through new leader onboarding, regularly preparing new resources, providing marketing support, and troubleshooting issues 1:1 with group leaders.
Analyze and provide insights for community by tracking KPIs and preparing regular reports.
Manage and execute Slack’s presence at community conferences and key developer events, partnering with the Salesforce community team and community leaders, including on-site event support.
Partner with the Salesforce, MuleSoft, and Tableau community teams to implement best practices and processes for Slack Community operations.
Build and scale community programs that empower community members to lead and execute independently.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in marketing roles such as Community Marketing or Developer Marketing
Deep understanding of the developer community and experience working with community leaders
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Passion for Slack, the product
Relentless focus on the needs of the customer
Results-driven: deep sense of accountability and the ability to drive large projects from start to finish
Experience working with cross-functional teams to plan and execute community activities
High energy and focus on making a positive impact
Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to travel to support community events globally (up to 25% travel)
