Role Overview

As a Director of Software Engineering within the Marketing Intelligence group, you will lead the next generation of AI-driven marketing solutions. Salesforce Israel is the global hub for Marketing Intelligence, and this role is at the center of our most ambitious pivot: Agentic Automation. You will be responsible for managing 2-3 high-performing scrum teams (16-20 Individual Contributors), overseeing the architecture and delivery of autonomous AI agents that help marketers optimize spend, analyze campaign performance in real-time, and bridge the gap between Data Cloud and actionable business outcomes.

Your Impact

Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the technical roadmap for the Marketing Intelligence platform, specifically focusing on Agentforce capabilities, LLM integration, and real-time data harmonization.

Team Evolution: Manage, mentor, and scale a world-class engineering organization of 16-20 engineers. Foster a culture of "Owner-Mindset," technical excellence, and rapid iteration.

Architectural Stewardship: Guide the design of complex, distributed backend systems that leverage Data Cloud to power autonomous agents (e.g., Paid Media Optimization Agents).

Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner closely with Product Management, Data Science, and Salesforce Research to transform cutting-edge AI models into scalable, enterprise-grade products.

Operational Excellence: Drive the full software development lifecycle in a hybrid engineering model, ensuring high availability, security, and performance for thousands of global enterprise customers.

Required Skills

Engineering Leadership: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5+ years in a senior management/director role leading multiple teams in a high-growth environment.

AI & Intelligence Domain: Proven experience building and deploying AI-driven products. Familiarity with LLM orchestration, prompt engineering, and agentic workflows (e.g., LangGraph or similar frameworks).

Technical Depth: Strong background in distributed systems, big data architecture (Spark, Snowflake, or Data Cloud equivalents), and backend technologies (Java, Python, or Go).

Marketing/AdTech Context: (Preferred) Experience in Marketing Intelligence, AdTech, or Analytics, understanding KPIs like ROAS, Attribution, and Audience Segmentation.

Scale: Experience operating at "Salesforce Scale"—handling millions of events and complex data pipelines with zero downtime.

Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
