The Team / The Role
We’re hiring a Lead UI/UX Designer for our Digital Marketing Technology team. In this role, you’ll work on the system that powers the salesforce.com website, crafting flows, patterns, and guidelines, ensuring the language within the authoring interface is clear, intuitive, and consistent. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage AI agents to enhance the digital environment and amplify your impact. Responsibilities
Using documentation, reviews, and presentations, communicate clear and compelling ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders
Design, write, and audit microcopy across the authoring system (e.g., button labels, error messages, tooltips, instructional text) to ensure clarity and user success
Serve as a bridge connecting marketing, website authors, UX, accessibility, product, and engineering teams
Identify opportunities to improve user ease and efficiency by leveraging existing solutions, introducing new functionality and optimizing language
Refine and iterate on wireframes and prototypes using production-ready, high-quality UX copy to ensure the design truly solves the user problem
Develop and maintain a system of interaction patterns and UX copy guidelines to ensure consistency and usability across the user experience
Generate detailed final UX specs that inspire accurate developer builds
Work with developers and quality experts to ensure accurate implementation of all designs and microcopy
Promote and educate others on new guidelines and patterns
Create inclusive designs for all users; advocate for accessibility, encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes
Experience / Skills
6+ years of UX design, with a proven record of leading websites and/or products from conceptualisation to market success
Demonstrated expertise in UX Writing, Content Design, or UX Copywriting, specifically using clear, concise language to solve complex UX problems, clarify flows, and improve product engagement.
Deep understanding of user-centered design and systems thinking, with the ability to see a project's larger ecosystem and focus on scalable solutions.
Outstanding storytelling and prototyping skills to present your solutions to key partners and leadership
Strong communication and active listening skills, with an ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships
Ability to distill and reframe problems, then define a framework for resolution, generating clear, elegant solutions for complex challenges
Extensive experience using, and contributing to, design systems, including defining guidelines for visual patterns, microcopy, terminology, and tone of voice
Experience using multiple approaches, including analytics and user research, to drive decisions and iterate on both design and in-product language
Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma, along with an ability to quickly learn new tools as they emerge
Experience designing for diverse user needs, spanning both customer-facing and internal tools
Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (especially WCAG) and familiarity with inclusive design and inclusive language practices
Experience developing software that is global in reach, universal in design, and is built with an understanding of how content choices impact localization.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, User Experience Design, or a related field
