Description
Slack is where work happens—bringing together conversations, context, and now agents into a single operating system for work. As teams collaborate in Slack, they also need simple, flexible ways to track work, follow through on commitments, and stay aligned on what needs to happen next.
We’re looking for a Product Manager or Senior Product Manager to own and evolve Slack Lists, a core productivity experience that helps teams organize, manage, and move work forward directly where collaboration already happens. In this role, you’ll shape how people capture tasks, coordinate responsibilities, and turn conversations into action—across individuals, teams, and workflows.
This role is about designing clear, intuitive, and delightful experiences that fit naturally into how people work in Slack today, while also setting the foundation for how Lists can grow into a more powerful, intelligent productivity surface over time.
What You’ll Do
Own the product vision and roadmap for Slack Lists, defining how lists and lightweight task management help people stay focused, aligned, and productive in Slack
Lead with user empathy and product craft, designing experiences that are simple, flexible, and feel great to use in the flow of work
Translate real-world workflows into thoughtful product solutions, balancing individual productivity with team coordination needs
Partner closely with design and research to deeply understand user problems, test ideas early, and iterate toward elegant solutions
Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional partners to deliver high-quality features, making thoughtful trade-offs to maximize user impact
Use data, qualitative feedback, and product judgment to prioritize work, measure success, and continuously improve the experience
Clearly communicate product direction, priorities, and decisions to partners and stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
Experience building and shipping user-facing products, ideally in productivity, collaboration, or consumer-grade enterprise software
Strong product judgment and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to create intuitive, well-crafted experiences
Deep empathy for users and a passion for understanding real-world workflows and pain points
Comfort working in ambiguous problem spaces, with the ability to bring structure, clarity, and momentum
Excellent communication skills, whether collaborating with designers and engineers or aligning with cross-functional partners
A strong sense of ownership and follow-through—you take responsibility for outcomes, not just ideas
For Senior Product Manager candidates, we also look for:
Experience owning a product area end-to-end and driving impact over time
The ability to independently set direction, make trade-offs, and influence without authority
