Description
We are seeking a highly strategic and experienced Software Architect to be the definitive technical design authority for a core product or platform within our large engineering organization (part of the 70+ engineer group).
This role requires a unique individual who possesses deep technical mastery of complex, distributed systems and an exceptional, practical understanding of Marketing Business Value and product strategy.
You will serve as the essential bridge between engineering teams, product managers, and marketing stakeholders. Your primary goal is to translate complex, strategic marketing requirements into detailed, robust, and elegant architectural specifications, ensuring our technical designs maximize business value and performance.
Architectural Ownership & Design
System Design Authority: Lead the design of complex, high-performance systems, defining service boundaries, API contracts and deployment patterns
Business Impact Design: Architect solutions that offer the best balance of time-to-market, cost-efficiency, and long-term scalability, focusing clearly on enabling core marketing objectives (e.g., increasing conversion rates, improving customer LTV).
Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend specific technologies, frameworks, and tools to meet product requirements, balancing modern trends with corporate standards and long-term maintainability.
Hands-off Leadership: Provide expert architectural guidance.
Risk & Security: Identify technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security implications in the proposed designs, working with teams to build in quality, security, and observability from the start.
Requirements
Experience & Domain Focus
15+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in a dedicated Software Architect or Principal Engineer role leading the design of a major product/platform.
Deep Understanding of Marketing Business Value: Mandatory and demonstrable experience working with or directly supporting Marketing, AdTech, or Customer Experience (CX) domains. Must be fluent in the goals and technical requirements of a modern digital marketing organization.
Mastery and hands-on experience with modern programming languages .Big-corp Orientation: Ability and desire to work in a big-corporation environment, gaining knowledge from the vast experience of teams and leading complex dependencies.
Strong background in designing and implementing backend data systems (e.g. SQL generators, data modeling engines, data intensive applications, complex and data-driven projects).
Experience in data engineering AI/ML
Demonstrated ability to successfully bridge the gap between non-technical stakeholders (Product, Marketing) and technical teams (Engineering).
Experience in a big tech corporation (5K+ employees), adept at navigating organizational complexity and adhering to enterprise standards.

Communication & Influence: Exceptional ability to communicate complex architectural trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders (Product, Marketing) while also providing clear, precise technical direction to engineering teams.
