ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Commercial Lawyer for Mexico City to support strategic accounts and act as one of the legal point of contact for Mexico leadership and key customers.

As an attorney with the Global Commercial Legal Team you will play a key role in supporting Salesforce’s LATAM Sales and Professional Services organizations in structuring commercial transactions and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements for our private and public sector customers. The position will be based in Mexico City and requires an individual who is fluent in English and Spanish.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiate and draft master subscription, professional services, and other types of agreements with customers in support of Latin America Sales and Professional Services organizations.

  • Lead high-impact commercial transactions while mentoring junior team members and building relationships with key stakeholders across the AMER region.

  • Partner with revenue recognition, sales operations, pricing organizations, technology operations, and other stakeholder teams to ensure agreements are consistent with internal corporate policies and processes.

  • Partner with Sales and other internal business constituents throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure customer success and protection of Salesforce.

  • Ensure negotiations are conducted in line with our core values of trust and transparency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Admitted to practice law in Mexico.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • 7-10 years of experience in commercial contracting and technology transactions.

  • At least 7 years of combined experience in law firm and/or in-house legal department.

  • Experience negotiating and drafting technology agreements.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills.

  • Highly responsive and service-oriented attitude.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal clients and peers.

  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, technical concepts in Web applications.

  • Sound and practical business judgment.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Substantive expertise in software as a service transactions.

  • Substantive experience with Latin America technology contract negotiations.

  • Good understanding of Latin America regulatory environment for SaaS industry.

  • Experience supporting a Sales Organization.

  • Licensed in Argentina or experience working with Argentine customers.

  • Knowledge of public sector contracting in Mexico is desirable.

  • Portuguese fluency is desirable.
