About Job

The Salesforce Utilities sales team engages with customers to paint a vision of a more agile future & help them understand how they can break free from their legacy systems with Salesforce Solutions across our SaaS Clouds.

The team is looking to hire an Account Executive who is passionate about the digital transformation and energy transition in energy and utilities companies, and will work to formulate and implement a sales strategy, develop new customers and drive revenue growth in this area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refine sales messaging, prospecting, qualifying, and closing techniques
  • Create new leads from prospecting efforts and assist others
  • Leverage business from new and established relationships
  • Run complex sales cycles, utilising internal and external resources as appropriate
  • Identify and grow sales opportunities within assigned territory
  • Keep current with industry trends and engage customers addressing their business challenges
  • Develop & implement Industry Cloud sales plans & cycles
  • Understand your target account's business strategy and define an architecture and solution to support it with the capabilities of the Industry Cloud
  • Work with product management to translate key functionality and benefits into core business value messages

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Experience in selling Software as a Service, and experience selling into Energy & Utilities or mining (Ideal but not essential)
  • Success in leading complex and commercially significant sales to IT and business leaders
  • Dedicated to excellence with a history of high performance
  • Accurate forecasting and pipeline management experience
  • Passion for hunting greenfield territory and building your business from the ground up
  • An active listener with strong business acumen to deeply understand our customer’s challenges
  • Strong focus on delivering customer success with a consultative, outcome-based sales approach
  • Strong planning and organisational abilities
  • A highly collaborative team player with company-first and humble mindset

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Salesforce products and platform features, capabilities, and best use
  • Experience and knowledge of Salesforce Industries (E&U Cloud) competitive landscape and technical ecosystem
  • Solid understanding of business processes, applications and app development
  • Domain expertise in CRM and related applications
